Does anyone have any experience with a good jump box?
I'm looking for something to move from rig to rig to prevent being stranded in BFE. The 80 series is getting dual batteries but we have a few other rigs that could benefit from having a jump box and will never see dual batteries.
I have no...
I had AT build a drawer system for my 100 that has a large drawer and an area for a fridge slide.
However the 100 has turned into my fiance's daily driver and the 80 has become the EXPO ride.
The drawer is brand new and was built to mount into a 100 without drilling; it is sitting at ATs...
I'm pulling the hitch (not OEM) off of my 97 LX450 and have no use for it.
If someone wants it I'll trade it for some Guiness or maybe lunch :sombrero:
I'm about an hour southeast of Tucson.
Anyone?
I recently came across a surplus cooler that looks like a 5 gallon fuel can, it will fit in the same mounts according to my friend who has it.
It is marked M2 and has a side hinged lid with a cool latch and folding steel carrying handle.
He bought it many years ago at a surplus place, he thinks...
I have an 1.9 Hannibal Awning that I had custom aluminum mounts machined to fit a Garvin Wilderness Roof Rack for a Jeep LJ.
It came out absolutely bombproof.
It uses 2 3/8" bolts on each mount and is uber-solid, zero movement...probably slightly overboard:)
I no longer have the Jeep so I'm...
I have a Tuffy Drawer with a Garvin Rack mounted on it that fits behind the seat of an LJ.
I sold the Jeep.
Thinking about $300.

I can deliver it to the Expo if you're going.
Thanks,
I'm thinking about mounting an RTT on my 2K 100; probably an Eezi-awn, to Yakima crossbars attached to the OEM rack with the Yakima Rail Grabbers.
Thus allowing me to haul my kayaks around when I'm not using the RTT, plus I can pull the crossbars off easily when not needed.
112 pounds for the...
I took my 2K 100 to the shop today, as it has been having some braking trouble, and they said that I need a new master cylinder.
Parts alone are about $2700!! Plus another $200. for labor.
Ughh.
Anyone else replace a 100 series master cylinder recently?
Thanks.
My last vehicle had a Hannibal awning that worked really well but it won't work on my current rig (no roof rack).
I'm looking for a quick deploying free standing shade structure that I can move between my personal vehicle and work truck.
The MSR batwing sunshades are cool but I'm looking for...
I'm thinking about buying a set of these to make loading my Ocean kayaks, Scrambler 11s, on top of my Landcruiser (almost 7 feet tall) by myself a little easier.
I've been using foam blocks for years and it's less than graceful getting them off and putting them up there.
Any input?
Thanks!
Can anyone recommend a good mechanic in Tucson?
I saw Gary's Import repair on the list of wrenches over at IH8MUD but was curious if anyone here had any personal experience with a good shop.
I just bought a 2K 100 and need some PM done....then the build starts!!:wings:
Thanks!
I'm thinking about trading in my LJ Rubicon and getting a 4runner (UZJ100s are too expensive unless they have high miles).
I looked at a 5th gen the other day but it seemed somewhat cramped when I tried to lay down in the back.
Do the 4th gen have a longer cargo area? It is really important that...
While cruising around in the mountains yesterday my Jeep decided to no longer be a 4wd.
The 4wd indicator light turned off, as did the locker lights. After a break they did it again, obviously something is not happy in there.
A similar thing happened about 6 months ago when my lockers stopped...
Has anyone tried to mount a 305 on the factory Power Wagon wheels?
On my last PW I ran 305s on black steel and they worked great with minor trimming.
On my new one (2008) I plan on going to 305s once I wear out the 285s but am going to attempt to retain the OEM wheels.
I know the spare will...
To prolong gasket life is it better to store empty NATO cans closed or open?
I just received 4 cans from Deutsche Optik and am quite happy with them.
Probably best to store them closed but figured I throw it out there for discussion.
Any input on collapsible sinks?
I just replaced the Action Packers for my camp kitchen with two Hardigg 2700 cases (AWESOME!) and am looking for an outstanding collapsible sink.
Thanks!
I don't ride my 2006 DRZ 400S enough so I've decided to sell it.

I'm in Sonoita,AZ which is about an hour SE...
I have used several different sunglasses cases over the years but still haven't found the ultimate.
Inevitably the glasses to come off at sunset, then somehow end up on the floor while driving around in the dark.
I tried a small Pelican case but it didn't really cut it.
