    OVRLND Camper - crolison’s build

Worked on installing the propex heater today before the Super Bowl. So far have the propex mounted, exhaust and intake run. Just have to finish the propane line, electrical, and vents.

Took some 2x2 and made a cover for the regulator. It’s not super heavy duty but should stop mud and slush or any other small stuff from hitting the regulator

FWC; major design changes, issues, and value?

That is pretty much the setup I’m going with for my Ovrlnd camper, sans a sink basin, plan is to do most cooking outside on a side fold down table. I am planning to be at expo west this May, so I have a deadline to finish up my whole interior. One of the reasons I got an Ovrlnd was I wanted a...

    OVRLND Camper - crolison’s build

Due to going with the propane heater I opted to use my 10lb propane tank vs the 5lb’r I changed mounts today, and fabricated a regulator mount and have the propane line routed to the inside of the camper with an on/off valve

    OVRLND Camper - crolison’s build

Ordered more parts for the camper as my birthday is Wednesday. Have a renogy 160w solar panel coming, and most of the odds and ends to finish the heater install. Picked up some propane hoses from my favorite local propane store, one with both ends crimped so I can get the propane inside the...

    OVRLND Camper - crolison’s build

Jay should be able to help with getting the right setup, or talking it though with what is feasible. This one I would say is slightly rough, as it’s number 3. We’ve worked on fixing small little imperfections, and just general camper ideas for the ones coming after mine.

    OVRLND Camper - crolison’s build

Over all i have a good guesstimate, a portion of the stuff i had laying around. My ordered options were about $700 over the initial camper price. So far i approximately have $150 into electrical, $200 on interior (panels, felt, velcro, insulation), $1000 into the heater (base purchase...

    OVRLND Camper - crolison’s build

They are not really protected, guess i could make a guard for them, or add some limb risers. I believe with limb risers i could get any low hanging branches up to the roof and then at the end they would slide over the mounts. I am not worried about that at all really. The Go Fast also has...

    OVRLND Camper - crolison’s build

Started some work today on the propex hs2800 installation. Probably going to have to order some more exhaust tubing to get it outside of the truck bed foot print

    OVRLND Camper - crolison’s build

Jay is in flagstaff, he makes the base camper. He has a general thread started in this section of the forum. Here is the abs sheets I used, it varies price a lot and the cheapest I was looking at was $20 shipped a sheet. ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) Sheet, Opaque White, 1/16"...

    OVRLND Camper - crolison’s build

I’ll be cooking off the passenger side table, I was just checking if it fit on the drivers as that side is easier to access how I park at the house.

    OVRLND Camper - crolison’s build

Got my second set of lift struts in today, and boy it was worth it. I think it helps slightly more with closing vs opening.

    OVRLND Camper - crolison’s build

Between yesterday and today, I’ve mounted up some exterior lift struts to help with opening the top. The front was a proof of concept, and worked out pretty well. I am going to have to make custom rear mounts but that shouldn’t take long at all. I also found a place for my blue ridge overland...

    OVRLND Camper - crolison’s build

I feel like I have a million small projects going at once. So I’ve also started the interior build. This will be out of 80/20 and other misc materials, basically a goose gear inspired build. One project I have completed is some front runner outfitters wolf pack brackets for the roof rack.

    OVRLND Camper - crolison’s build

The side opening doors originally just folded flat, this was pretty high for me but doable. My wife though, she needed something lower so i took some inspiration from alu cab’s fold down side tables and made these out of 10 series extruded aluminum, and 1/4 hdpe sheets I had laying around...

    OVRLND Camper - crolison’s build

Added some trim edge to the top of the camper, makes it super easy to push it open by hand down vs metal edge. Also worked on the ceiling covering it with felt.

    OVRLND Camper - crolison’s build

Worked on the interior, covering the insulation with abs plastic sheets for protection/looks. On the upper portion of the camper I added adhesive velcro to the top of the lower portion of the camper to cover the insulation.

    OVRLND Camper - crolison’s build

Purchased a “gmartin” custom rack off of Tacomaworld. Pretty much basic concept as other racks on the market, but cut down for the camper. Also some drone shots at work
