    Our "new" Tiger...

A little more background on the GT and XL w/ interior pics. http://www.rv.net/forum/Index.cfm/fuseaction/thread/tid/22189891/srt/pa/pging/1/page/3.cfm Good thing I'm not making any money anymore; I'd be that guy with the fleet of Astros at his house.

    Our "new" Tiger...

Thanks for the compliment, H, and thanks for the offer Herb. Thats the same thing i thought regarding the hard top vs pop top. It's more because of me living in the forested PNW, roof clearence is often an issue with downed trees etc. Also, I would think COG with all the off camber trails...

    Our "new" Tiger...

Wow, that looks great. Congrats on the find. I really like those, as you might imagine. Keep the pics and updates coming. Especially one with the dirtbike on back.:bike_rider: And sleeping area of the interior. I may take mine to Baja next fall (with enduros on back). Might have to stop by...

Want to get into riding, need a bike...

I totally agree. My buddy has a DRZ 400 and it's been good to get him back into riding. After two years, he now knows that he wants to be faster on tighter trials and just purchased a KTM 200, but will probably keep the DRZ, unless he decides to Big Traile like GS850 or something. The low end...

    My new expo/adv steed

It is indeed a great looking bike. A friend of mine (a former enduro racer) says the wider foot pegs make it more difficult to wheelie while standing up. I guess it makes sense. Do you guys agree?

Helmet cam Videos of our area: add yours

Last fall Sinue posted about his new single track slaying 530 KTM and R. Lebrve replied with a link to some fast single track video, if I recall correctly. All that got me thinking about sharing some vids of our area. While I still haven't gotten a helmet cam, I thought I'd share a link to a...

    The most expensive overlander?!

We were just discussing a similar question: Why does KTM win the Dakar (while Honda doesn't seem to even enter) all the time and Honda wins the Baja (while KTM doesn't seem to enter)? Nobody in Europe buys Honda XR's...but personally I ride with more KTM's than Hondas.

    Boots question

Addressing the budget concern only I don't know street boots but have some input on the budget issue and boots. I bought a 1 yr old pair of MX Alpinstar Tech 8 boots in decent shape that fit perfectly for $30. A little while later I found the exact same boot 2 yrs old for $50. Alpinstar...

    Question of the year

The point wasn't the IPods, it was that I was making fun of you for having to actually try 7 in a vehicle to realize that it might be cramped and uncomfortable. I'm no math major but the mental picture of 7 people standing there with all their camping gear and coolers on the ground looking at...

    Question of the year

Vans do have slightly more hip, shoulder and leg room, and have even more headroom, and a lot more cargo room. (I did quite a bit of research before making my decison to go with an Astro van. He asked about vans vs suv due to the fact that his family of 7 couldn't go anywhere "without quite...

    Question of the year

You missed my point entirely. C'est la vie. What does the age of your children have to do with a choice between an suv and a van, rather than the number of people and corresponding gear needed ? The kids will be a lot happier traveling in the van with more room, thus the mom will be a lot...

    Question of the year

\ "increasingly apparent"? I'm sorry Dude, but with all due respect, thats hilarious. As if you needed to actually try it first to see if 7 people traveling together would be ok. As if there was a point in time when you specifically thought that 7 people in one vehicle would be spacious and...
