    Leatherman wearable tool

That is a super cool novelty. Of course it won't replace a roll around tool chest full of Snap-On tools but it is an innovative piece of wearable. IMHO wearing one of these makes someone look several orders less putzy than wearing a 550 cord macrame bracelet. At minimum, quite a conversation...

    Condensation in auxiliary lights

Exceptional forum for gleaning some very "in depth" knowledge of automotive lighting. I'd caution you to prepare yourself before just jumping in to forum participation. While their credentials and subject matter knowledge is unquestioned, they've become quite calloused to the casual...

Where did you mount your 2M Antenna?

I have the Larsen mag mounted on the roof when in use and behind the seat when not in use. It allows me to eliminate the "eye-sore", as you called it, when I don't anticipate UHF/VHF use. I am not a power user, ham guy...much more casual about it as a means of communication. My antenna spends...

    '85 Longbed/Wildernest diesel CL find.

Cool, but not enough value for me What's that tired out, old, Expedition Portal adage..."It's worth what someone will pay for it"

    1985 FWC Fleet Refurbish

I love your camper, great project, fantastic results! I emphasize with the issue of trying to DD the Taco and still maintaining it as a "ready at the drop of a hat" escape vehicle. The M101 seems like an enjoyable quest but have you considered leaving the Tacoma/Pop up combo complete and...

Expedition Ready Vehicle For Sale – Dodge / Lance Combo

Hey LoRoad, 60toyetero's response addressed price, truck, camper and color...just as you asked. His opinion on those points probably represents a sizable segment of ExPo membership. What manner of feedback did you really expect receive? You did ask for the "groups advice" and didn't just...

Got a radio in the truck finally

There's really no point to operating illegally, the Tech test is so easy and you need a call anyway. ARRL is a bit of a dinosaur but they are great advocates and police of the hobby.

Full timing in an expedition camper.

Ozarker, I love this post. I have been pondering the same basic questions as the OP since I am on a burn down schedule to my own early retirement. Ten years of budgeting, positioning, asset re-arranging and recession battling seem easy compared to figuring out the best way to pull off a semi...

    94 Pathfinder: Buyer’s remorse?

Good rig for the purpose you described. Make sure the brakes and suspension bits are up to factory spec, get a set of tires and have fun. This looks like a sound rig and was within budget. Don't have remorse just because it isn't a Land Cruiser.

    RTW in an XJ

I own and love my '99 XJ. It is all ExPo'd out with the right gadgetry. I loathe the idea of taking it across the state let alone RTW. It is a fun and capable trail rig and bolster's my ExPoser image with its OME heavies, Curry steering, Warm M8000, tire swing and armor but it's no picnic on...

    2WD Expedition vehicle

The vast majority of my automotive travel has been done in two wheel drive vehicles. When I lived in Germany, we traveled extensively in North, Central and Western Europe in a Dodge Grand Caravan. Slept in it, ferried it, Chunneled it, and ran the Nurburgring. It was vehicular supported...

Overland Journal Project Land Rover Discovery 4 (LR4)

Who is the party that should be pissed? Overland Journal...they got plenty of exposure beyond their target/core readership by Tanner calling the LR4 the "Overland Journal edition" rather than more accurately stating that it's a one-off project vehicle (well played Scott :ylsmoke:). Not Land...
