that’s great deal! I keep considering other options but always come back to wanting one of these, so I think I will hold out to find a good one once we move
I’m currently not in the market, when we move my wife may not have a job right away due to student teaching. So we plan to go down to zero debt. Once we are settled I will be back looking for a van.
If I buy a 2wd van quigley converts 2014 or newer with less than 60,000 miles. Something to...
good to here you are happy with it! Yah I have a 5.4 e350 now that we are selling before we move to Colorado. I will have other toys for off-roading so a Quigley van will be perfect for us. Hopefully I’ll find a nice camper conversion with low miles.
Do you tow much with it?
I feel like I would see more of these vans, I don’t see them pop up for sale very often or build threads etc. Are they really not that popular or just harder to find/rare? Maybe people are hanging on to them since they aren’t made anymore.
My E350 will be for sale later this year and after our...
I used numerica credit union (northwest) and they based the loan off of comparable vans. So if you can find other vans for sale in similar price range they will do it. Worked for me at least and I had never banked with them before. Higher interest rate due to “unique collateral“
Thanks! Kinda what I was wondering! I have plenty of experience driving in snow but the website for Yosemite made it seem worse than it is I think!
Any other tips for rentals to use or for Yosemite would also be welcome!
Does anyone know of any company that’s rent campervans in California? I’ve found the typical ones like those purple caravans, and cruise America. We are wanting to go winter camping in Yosemite, and none of those options offer 4wd in case of snowy roads.
We fly free and it would be a quick...
When we bought our van my normal bank said no way, it’s a 2013 E350 quadvan, bluebooked for only $19k. We used Numerical Credit union and they based the loan off of comparable vans on Craigslist. Higher interest rate due to “unique collateral” but I just paid it down to blue book value and...
I know I could call earthcruiser but we would still be roughly 2 years out from buying one. Do people expect the crew cab price to go up? The camper would be the short version so I assume it wouldn't raise the price too much?
Oh gotcha, I assume you are asking about Dinosaur NM? The road we explored had a sign that said “high clearance 4x4s only, no trailers, impassable when wet”
That being said it wasn’t terrible. One really steep section, a few small washout and canyons. But I’m pretty sure they grade the road.
Road trip home from Colorado was a blast! Spent a couple days in the Grand Tetons, and a explored a few other areas that we really enjoyed! Every night home we spent in bear country. First campground had a sign for increased activity, second we were warned about a Grizzly and her cub that had...
2013 quadvan 5.4 with 4.10 gears
Just got back from about a 4000 mile trip from WA to CO, all around CO, and then back to WA. Lots of mountain passes and freeway cruising.
I averaged about 12.5 mpg mostly. Sometimes 13. I cruise at 70 on the freeway though, right at 2000 rpms.
Sounds good! Yah it’s tough to choose between looks of the black or function of the reflectix side. I’m trying to figure out how to make it look good with the window side be removable for hot weather. Thanks!
