I have a vague recollection of reading that some fire regulation required it to be red. Maybe a local fire marshal requirement somewhere? Probably from when I lived in Massachusetts, where they seemed to have a law for everything.

I thought the green loctite was for applying to fasteners after installation (ie, you forgot to put it on beforehand).

My overdrive has a negative leak. At least, the level keeps increasing - I think it is migrating from the transfer case.

I would also loose the black plastic front air dam. I took mine off a couple of years ago, and I noticed 0 difference in fuel economy or cooling or high speed handling.

Something I really do not understand is low-profile mud tires! There is a very interesting discussion about why racecars went to wide tires in the 1960s in one of Carroll Smith's "To Win" books. I think it was Engineer to Win. Fascinating series, by the way.
