I like how they integrated the stock fog lamps and signal lights. Looks great.
Spent about 5 hours working on the Runner today. Managed to get the front coilovers, sway bar relocate kit, rear shocks and the tires done. Tomorrow I'm getting the alignment done and then I'll be installing the...
Demello is about $1450 with the options I want. Shipping would probably be about $300. ARB is $1600 landed here. I could always go pick either one at the border if I had to, might save me a bit of cash.
I like the approach angle and the slim fit of the Demello. I prefer the grille guard and...
I have heard that Shrockworks takes forever to get stuff done. In some cases up to 6 months. I don't think I have the patience for that. Right now I'm looking at ARB and Demello Offroad bumpers. I guess it'll come down to cost, time frame and weight.
Hoping to get it all installed this week. It'll be a lot of work between the radio, compressor, suspension, tires, spacers and getting the alignment done. I'm also looking at ordering an ARB bumper in the next few weeks. I'm really nervous on how the Toytec Ultimate suspension is going to ride...
I bet you guys all looked at 4Runners before you bought your Nissans:shakin::shakin:
I'm hoping to have all the suspension and tires done some time next week. I'll be sure to post pics.:26_7_2:
Thanks Matt! Nice to see you joined. I'm looking forward to going out wheeling with you again. Hope you start a build thread on the Frontier.
I thought about a second gen Xterra but the deal on the 4Runner was too good to pass up. Otherwise it was definitely an option I was considering.
Here's the 4Runner build thread if you guys want to follow it.

I won't be a stranger around the Nissan section :smiley_drive:
Hi,
I'd like to add to this popular section my newly acquired 2005 4Runner Limited V8. This is my FIRST Toyota ever. I've had Hondas, Jeeps and Nissans for the past 16 years but I never had the opportunity to own a Toyota. A few months ago I started dreaming about more power. I wasn't...
Got some farewell pictures of my R50 last night. A good friend of mine is a professional photographer and took some time to setup some pretty sweet shots.
Will do, I've got a lot going on with work and the family right now. I'm hoping I get some free time to start working on the 4Runner this weekend. A new adventure begins.
It's pretty exciting. Apart from the whole "starting over and doing maintenance". Wish I had more time and space, that way...
I'll take some pics later this week. It's fairly simple. 4inch plates are welded to the frame and the sliders are welded to it with gussets.
I'm sad about letting it go but unfortunately can't keep everything. Time to move on to something newer...with more power.
RS4 would be nice...but that's just dreaming for now. I tried to get the wife to keep the 4Runner but she's stuck on wanting another minivan. I can't blame her, both of our families live in different parts of the country. So we do need a van when anyone comes and visit.
