97 R50 Pathfinder- Building the dream

I'd let it go for $4000. That would include suspension, wheels, tires and the truck. I'll most likely be moving the compressor, Rigid lights, Kenwood deck and roof box to my next truck. The sliders are still up in the air on whether I'm leaving them on the truck or taking them off.

97 R50 Pathfinder- Building the dream

That's what most of my friends are saying. I'm leaning towards that solution but I'm having a hard time justifying shuffling cars at home, extra insurance and maintenance on 2 vehicles. Not to mention that it's really hard for me to keep any vehicle stock. Most likely I'd end up with 2 truck...

97 R50 Pathfinder- Building the dream

We're gonna sell the van and buy another one. I'll daily drive the 4Runner for a bit and see how I like it. Meanwhile the Jeep should be done in a week or two. It'll give me time to figure things out. How many months do you want to pay $50 for? 12? lol

97 R50 Pathfinder- Building the dream

Lately I've really been wanting a V8 SUV. Now I have 2... 4Runner is definitely the better choice for a daily driver and family vehicle. But it can't do this: I'll give it some thought for a little bit and make up my mind. I might end up keeping two but that would be more of a hassle in...

97 R50 Pathfinder- Building the dream

I picked up yet another vehicle today. And, again, a good deal I wasn't able to pass up. I bought a 2005 Toyota 4Runner Limited V8. It's in great shape apart from a crack in the bottom air dam in the front bumper. My Jeep is still in the shop and I have yet to drive it. The wife is not thrilled...

You should go ahead and install the OME springs. At least you know they were engineered properly. I'm under the impression that the spring rates on the AC coils isn't engineered. Good purchase on the ARB pump kit. I love mine and it makes it so easy to fill up.

Unfortunately the WJ has Quadra TracII. I could always swap the axles for the VariLock ones and it would bring it up to a Quadra Drive. For that amount of work I might just install lockers tho. It's all up in the air until the WJ is running and driveable. I straightened the lower rad support by...

97 R50 Pathfinder- Building the dream

Here's a few pictures of the damage: And the sliders at work lol: The 2 projects together. I got the lower rad support straightened out. It still has a dent in it but it's back where it should be. The rad and shroud are lined up again.

Pete gets a new WJ Grand Cherokee!

Sweet ride! I like the way you mounted the roof rack. Looks OEM.

97 R50 Pathfinder- Building the dream

We just get a discount for multiple vehicles. I picked up the WJ for two reasons. 1-I had one and loved it but it was a 4.0L six cylinder and, like my R50, gutless on the highway. 2-It was too good of a deal to pass up. The WJ needs a head gasket, it's burning coolant right now but still...

I also picked up another project on Friday night. This one has a V8...should be interesting to try and fund 2 SUV's at the same time.

97 R50 Pathfinder- Building the dream

I got to use my sliders a bunch yesterday. Went on a winter trail run and it was fairly deep snow. On a few occasions I found myself slamming in the sides of dirt walls right on the sliders. I also used them to stand on to get recovery gear out of my roof box. I wrecked my lower rad support...

'02 WJ.. Some stuff done, lots to come!

Looks like they match up the front bumper perfectly! BTW, you and Theksmith made me buy a WJ today. It was a good deal, couldn't pass it up. ;)

Thanks Russel! I was originally going to get the rear part shorter to match the rear door but it would've made it harder to load stuff on the roof.

97 R50 Pathfinder- Building the dream

UPDATE! Got some custom sliders made this week. It doesn't look exactly like the ones pictured above. The fabricator and I ended up making quite a few changes in order to make this more of a hybrid between side steps and sliders. They're made of 3/16 wall thickness DOM tubing and are welded to...

Hmm, I'm not looking forward to drilling my truck with a holesaw... Now that spring is coming, I should probably get on it soon.

Thanks, I love the look on the other guys' faces when they think a "stock" Pathfinder is leading up the trails and doing better than them.

    My 2001 Pathfinder (R50 ) mild/budget build

ARB Intensity! Done. Except for the $750 price tag...and the $80 wiring harness. I'd love a set but I can't justify spending $1600 on 2 lights just yet. I had the Hella 500ff in my last Jeep and I was pretty disappointed with the light output. I know the price is right but I could hardly...
