97 R50 Pathfinder- Building the dream

Haven't had a chance to check on my gear ratio yet. I'll see if I can remember tomorrow when I replace my fan clutch.

97 R50 Pathfinder- Building the dream

Thanks! I love my Pathfinder...but I hate the 3.3L. Sure it's reliable, but it's so slow and gutless. Next SUV I buy is going to have a V8 for sure. Went out to play in the snow last night and the only way I can have some fun is to be in first gear. Otherwise it doesn't go anywhere. It's...

97 R50 Pathfinder- Building the dream

I've only put one coat so far. Might do another one when I do the grille. The good thing about Plasti Dip is that you just peel it off and start over when it looks bad. Yep, got OME HD fronts and MD rears. Thanks, I used regular black Plasti Dip.

97 R50 Pathfinder- Building the dream

I plasti-dipped the front and rear bumper chrome pieces on Saturday. Still have to do the front grille. Also got the new wheels installed today. I kept the wheel specs mild so I could still run my newish tires (bought in December) and I wanted the stance that Janseman has on his R50. So I went...

97 R50 Pathfinder- Building the dream

The Sequoia is not a bad idea. We are definitely looking for something capable. We are also trying to stay around the $10k mark so we can pay it cash and be done with it. Would be nice to have some sort of aftermarket support. I guess the 05-06 Pathfinder has the 7 seater option as well.

97 R50 Pathfinder- Building the dream

Still looking for a Disco or a Land Cruiser/LX470. The wife's Odyssey is having transmission issues and I'm trying to steer her away from the minivans. Not in a hurry but we would like to get something this year. She insists on the 7 passenger part of it. Not many other options in good looking...

    My 2001 Pathfinder (R50 ) mild/budget build

Are you sure you'll have enough lift with the AC coils and the NX4 spacer? Any idea on the spring rates of the ACs?

    My 2001 Pathfinder (R50 ) mild/budget build

Nice touch! Looks proper. I was debating on wheel spacers for a while but decided on a new set of wheels instead. I think 32's would be perfect for your truck. Get some nice 265-75-16 and be done with it. Your build thread has been an inspiration to my friend who just purchased an 01 R50 in...

Another tire thread for my 04 SE R50

I've had Duratracs last year and they perform well but are noisy on the roads and don't seem to last very long. I'm running BFGoodrich Ta/Ko and I'm really happy with the overall performance and cost. I would recommend them to anyone. I have been on a few trail runs with guys running General...

Thanks for all the advice. I'm gonna pass on this particular one and look for something with less issues and a better price.

Need help making a decision on a LR purchase.

I haven't decided yet if it's going to be a daily. I still have my Pathfinder. The seller has said he's willing to go down to $7000. I'll get the vehicle inspected on Monday and go from there.

Need help making a decision on a LR purchase.

Hi guys, I'm looking for some guidance. I'm currently looking at adding or replacing a vehicle. I have my mind set on a 2003 Land Rover Discovery II with 90,000 miles on it. It's a 7 passenger, which is important to me. Now, the reason I'm looking for advice is this, it has a few issues that...

97 R50 Pathfinder- Building the dream

I think the ARB tent is probably a safer purchase for the long run. At least you know a solid company is backing the product for a long time.
