Ah, front light guards are on her truck. It is a DI, but I was focusing on the rear lamp guards. I'll have her check to see if this works on her front lamp guards ...
Thanks

I am trying to get a closer image sent from here. She doesn't believe it will fit any of the lamp guard hex bolts. Remember, this is of 1998 Disco. It didn't have cross bars, so that isn't it.
Thought perhaps it was a release for the radio, but that doesn't seem to be the case either ...

In an ironic twist, I purchased a mint 1998 Land Rover Discovery I 50th Anniversary Edition years back. I sold it to a guy who purchased it for his daughter. When it arrived, he realized it was simply too nice for her to drive. He sold it to his Dad. His Dad was one of my sister's best friends...
My truck is a 2009 LR3 (the last year for the LR3). It was a short production year due to the new model imminent. There are some technologies in the 2009 (so I'm told) that were pre-released. (IDK). But be sure that by the 2009, any and all kinks were worked out. The great thing about the LR3 is...
Yes, however ... yet to be determined if they will pass Department of Transportation standards and be allowed over the border. And no offense, but the Echo is not a conqueror (suspension, all aluminum skeletal design, galvi chassis, departure angles, etc.)
But ... good to know that SA is...
I felt your "love" David, and knew where you were coming from. I also knew you are from there, so you (yourself) will probably have success bringing in a trailer.
For the average "Joe", it would be daunting at best!
Thanks for your support.

There are a couple of factual statistics that should be pointed out to your statement:
1) The Rand is WAY DOWN to the US dollar right now. This could change tomorrow. If you are mid-stream in a purchase, the S.A. will adjust your price. (trust me- I know- I purchased some extras for the trailer...
List it and sell it. Then buy the LR4.
But before you do, go to drive the LR4. If you leave them the keys and papers on your JK, they are likely to let you keep it for a few hours to test drive it.
You'll know quickly if it is a better "fit" for you.
I have been through a similar experience...
I should point out that coming into a classified ad within expedition portal and making derogotory comments about a person's item or price is against the terms of use that you agreed to when you signed up to participate here and is a ban-worthy offense.
It appears, bothar9 that you joined...
There are some parts of that thread that are missing: 1) I had to outlay $20K over and above what I earned in commission for helping to sell a truck and for what I sold (traded) my previous conqueror for. If those things were added back in, I would be sitting at over $40K. I had communicated...
And unfortunately no longer available. Lucky 8 has purchased a used pair to see if they can replicate. What is great is that they protect all the way over to the frame rail.

Eniam17: I am not with the truck this week (out of town).
I can take a picture for you when I return. It is a Super Winch and looks like a direct bolt on (if memory serves).

Hey, thanks for the good comments. I took the original end caps and a dermal tool. They are held on with a tiny tie strap and then wrapped with a thicker outdoor grade heat shrink electrical tape. It almost looks like factory in my opinion. It was a "hack" job however ... :)
