Kinda getting in on the end of the conversation but... Personally I'd stay away from the SC versions. Having to run super unlead gets expensive after a bit. That's one of the primary reasons a buddy of mine got rid of his.

My first reaction would be yes. Also make sure they're the correct width before you start tearing everything down. I didn't a few years ago and had to use an angle grinder to make 'em fit. Dumb but it worked. Only need a fraction to get them to swing freely. Also welcome to ExPo! Where do...

Just curious. When you guys upgrade to synthetic do you have to upgrade the filter as well? Also when you FIRST upgraded did you have to flush or simply add the oil and the old stuff would be removed?
