Brilliant tactic. Get her to think it's her idea. My wife wised up to that one after about my 8th motorcycle and 4th car... Seriously, thanks for looking. This may be the most fun vehicle I've ever owned. bb

FS: '81 Jeep CJ-8 Scrambler, original cond, low miles in Calif.

I hate to do this but my Jeep must go. Mostly unmolested example of a rare vehicle. No rust but for some scale in the footwell where the paint was scratched off. Has carpet, flip-down rear seat, hi-back buckets. Otherwise, original. Purty, huh? And functional... More current pictures...

    Sportsmobile--Ford E250, penthouse, well equipped

I have been getting lots of deep, philosophical questions on the van. Decided I better share some more info on the forum: Is it in perfect condition? No. It is a 15-year-old van...it has some issues. There is a shallow dent/scrape in the driver’s side. There was some paint work done to the RF...

Some interior shots here: http://billybee.smugmug.com/Cars/SMB-FS/9823745_T73uT#667484053_qwLjs The shadow is cast by the wide-angle lens. I'll take some better pix this weekend using a proper flash... bb

    Sportsmobile--Ford E250, penthouse, well equipped

It has a center aisle: Seats 4 - 5 (although I have crammed 6 adults in it before; Sleeps 4 (2 on the gaucho; 2 in the penthouse). You could conceivably have a young child on the floor aft of the gaucho. 351 engine The layout differs slightly from the RB31 layout pictured in the upper-right...

Toyota T100: Alaskan or other pop-up?

Yes, check the alaskan site. The T100 may be too wimpy for a real camper. Doubt I want to go through the trouble of byiing and selling the truck and the SportsMobile and buying another truck and Alaskan. Too much to worry about right now. I may just get used to camping in the T100 with the...

Toyota T100: Alaskan or other pop-up?

Alaskan does make a Mini model. Rare, but I occasionally see them for sale. http://www.truckcampermagazine.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=723&Itemid=34 The Roamin' Chariot looks interesting. Terrible web site but interesting product. Price is more than $5k. For that money, I...

Toyota T100: Alaskan or other pop-up?

The more I ponder, the more I want another Alaskan. I had one on a Dodge dually several years ago. It was perfect. But I kow I'd have to consider an Alaskan Mini. May be too small. bb

Toyota T100: Alaskan or other pop-up?

The only thing I buy new is underwear. So, I am thinking used. The sad news, really, is that I have to sell my Sportsmobile. Been a rough year. I'm back to work, but at a significantly reduced salary. So, rather than carry insurance on my SMB and my T100, I am looking to have the Toyota do...

Toyota T100: Alaskan or other pop-up?

Any experience with an Alaskan camper on a Toyota T100? Our T100 is a 1996 2wd xtra cab (6.5' bed) with a manual trans. I would consider either a Mini or a standard 8". Biggest downside to the Alaskan is weight, I think. The T100 suspension stinks. Airbags would be required, but may also need...
