It might be a trend following GM and Isuzu, but I'd lay money down that a major part of the reason is due to the cost of the DPF/SCR, the associated maintenance and warranty repairs, and projected requirements that are probably rapidly coming.
I'm sure the FG will get the same treatment.

Quick update, since this thread has been resurrected.
I went with the Sensatyre system, which looks like it's a relabeled Mobiletron system. Works fine, it's internal so I don't need to worry about external sensors getting mangled. 10 tire system was around $1200.
So it was just all the bolts shearing off?
At least the bracket looks like it's still in good condition.
Here's to hoping you have a trip remainder that has no more drama.
9/18 update: SPF
For later model FG trucks, six lug on 225.25mm pattern.
Set of five of the ATW steel wheels, used but excellent condition (since these things are basically bulletproof). These are the standard ATW wheels - 19.5", fill valves on both sides, very heavy duty weight rating...
I purchased the truck when it was about a year and a half old, it had all the services up to date via authorized service centers, I don't think that's the issue. It's always gotten CJ-4 rated oil, and now the upgraded 5w-30.
Regen cycle was done both driving, and I also did a regen with the...
Turns out not going to make it this year.
Had continuous DPF/DEF failures during the test drives, and no reason for that I can see. Also threw some nice EngSys and DPF failure codes, which I'm currently too disgusted to go check out.
Another year gone. FUSO, you're a disappointment to me.

We'll be heading out Thursday morning either on the 40 or the 10, wave as you pass us. We'll be in the slow lane, lol. Will also be accompanied by a built Landcruiser wagon, maybe some others. Might be a nice little convoy.
I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with this. I'd like to see how you work out a dash pod. I don't know if you can source one, but an old Japanese Landcruiser fire service truck had a nice dash pod that fits well. I've got one here that I've been meaning to install, might actually do it...
Very welcome...and it's on level ground.
My bump stops ride on the housing continuously. So far, no damage to the house, but there's definite scrubbing.
I'll have to do something eventually, but as to what...good question. It will probably be a combination of spacing the house a bit more...
Just remember that anytime you upgrade power, you have to consider the effect on other systems.
So my recommendation is still quad turbo, propane/water/alcohol injection, and finally chucking the whole thing and installing a Cummins and completely reworked driveline.
Fun comments aside (hi...
I think I'd just add the filler neck to the original side, might be fewer issues. You might also look at the builders guide and see if there's anything in there.
Are you using the 1 gallon jugs, or the box wine style?
