Yep, it's the tall gearset. I don't think the lower ratio is that much slower, from talking to other owners that are running that ratio they're also saying they'll run about 60-65 on the highway.
The rough road concept is exactly what I was looking for too, but it would definitely be nicer to...
Haven't really heard any news about new FG's.
Every so often there's some mention of manual trans with xfer case for NA, but it's never materialized. Might also have some tie in to the major recall that's going on, come to think of it.
In my 2012 chassis with a 2016 EC FX body, a good...
Looks good.
Was a pleasure meeting you guys out there, I'll definitely be making a journey out to your shop sometime.
Many thanks for Bond putting up with my questions, and the time suck :D, I owe him a few brews.
Huh.
I've got full coverage on ours, with Progressive. No issues here.
Access from cab to rear being a problem makes absolutely no sense to me, every single class B out there is the same way.
Yep, good torque wrench, a nut buddy, a good selection of sockets, adapters and extensions. Plus a good set of ken tool spoons and bars to fit your particular wheelset....because those damned tires don't take themselves off when you need to boot them. I still use a rattle gun to buzz the nuts...
As Ron mentioned, this might be a good impetus to more folks running balance beads. When I swapped over to the 16's from Alex (sourced from EC), I ran stainless beads, and they seem to be working well. I'll have better data after more time, but for now I'm glad I went the bead route. The other...
Yep, none of us getting any younger, that's for sure.
Funny that you're up in AK now, we're moving up there too this year. I'll probably stop by Scott and pick up a 1300, and ship it up. But that's for next year.
Good luck with the sale, whoever gets it will have a great rig.
LOL, no. Southern California, no need, it's dry out here. No mud, no salt, very little wet. If I do wash, like with other vehicles that need to be degrimed before work, I use a degreaser, brushes, elbow grease and a garden hose....and time.
I just swapped to a 16"Al wheel with a Toyo, from a 19.5 ATW and the Toyo M608z tires. I see better flotation, and a softer ride.
One of the reasons I initially went with the 19.5 was the better lifespan, but I'm not really seeing that. Add in the steel weight, no better lifespan, and a ride...
Got a relatively non-internet buddy that's looking at the Corbeau offerings. Going to be going into an 80 series, if there's anyone local to the San Diego area that wouldn't mind him stopping by and looking at the seats before dropping the coin on them, it'd be much appreciated.
Thanks for any...
Oh, I have let them know. All the way up to the Western Regional rep. "last quarter of 2017, that's all I can tell you"
It's been fairly reliable - other than a DEF/DPF failure, two O2 sensors that went south, the ABS sensor that's dead currently, two harnesses that failed, another O2 and a A/F...
