    Scangauge question/suggestion?

I agree with you - just slapping it on the dash or steering column with some Velcro looks cheesy. My goal was to have the Scan Gauge (SG) look like it belonged. Here's what I did... My SG has been mounted on the steering wheel pod. The plastic shroud is in 2 pieces; I cut the upper piece to...

Opinions on rally style mudflaps (good Pic)

I don't mean to hurt your feelings but that style looks tacky and would most likely be seen on a vehicle that ventured no further than a National Park parking lot or a blingy rally car. Trucks that are wheeled off-road will see terrain that will often detach mud flaps. That said, some state...

desperately looking for a land cruiser 101 ambulance

LOL! You'll need to start with the first post... that, or just ignore this moment in your life and move on.

desperately looking for a land cruiser 101 ambulance

I thought that was the Land Cruiser 105. Make no difference since this about Land Rovers anyway.

    80 series pop top tent

Very clever. The only shortcoming I see is awkward rear hatch or sunroof ingress and egress.

    Optima Battery Problems

This must be incredibly frustrating for you... it is for me just reading about your plight. I've had an Optima red top since 2009, and a yellow top added to my installed IBS DBS since 2010 and I haven't had any problems with either battery and I run the standard off-road accessories, fridge I...

Cobra CB 75 WX ST CB

My 2001 Tacoma is similar inside. I use the same model CB and have a similar good experience. The box is mounted in the console and the mike cable runs along the passenger side shift console, exiting next to the forward retention screw; the cable is secured to the screw with a nylon cable...

From VA to Labrador in 3 weeks, our 2011 Adventure

Very nice. I'm going to have to put this trip on my list. Pretty novel idea to take pictures of the trip and then post it too... I'll have to look into that. ;)

This is a well built Jeep too. I saw it a couple years ago in AZ and it was well-tended to. It needs a good home... work something out guys!

Crawlarado Hood Blackout for the 01--04 Tacoma

This is ExPo - we don't need no stinkin' empirical data... what was it Oxi used to say? "You cannot prove or disprove it, therefor it must be true." :coffeedrink:

Crawlarado Hood Blackout for the 01--04 Tacoma

After calculating the coefficient of the sun's position in the sky and adding the cotangent of the slope of the hood, and of course applying the reciprocal process of 3 in this calculation, I came to the conclusion... pffft... I don't know - there's just less glare. Maybe it's my position in...

Snorkel Install. Am I being ripped off?

[molar suck] Gee, I don't know... do you think there's anyone in Prescott, AZ that might be involved with the ExPo community who could help this guy out?

Snorkel Install. Am I being ripped off?

I don't know how complicated an install on an H3 is, but for a Toyota Land Cruiser, FJC, or Tacoma a skilled off-road shop could easily do it within 1 hour, maybe 2. Let's assume shop labor is $75 to $100 per hour. Charging you $500 sounds like a rip-off to me. Unless it's being done by 4...
