Henry Spen Restomod adventure trailer build

Nothing really, the recent thread that sgthawk started has me thinking about it lately. I replaced the axle with a custom length 3500lb axle, and I added wooden sideboards and a plywood floor to make it useable. And then I parked it for a few years, basically. The whole project kind of stalled...

    WWII spen trailer

Hahaha, copy away, I'm honored by the compliment about my welding. Honestly it was my first big project so I was learning to weld as I went! I'm looking forward to following along with this, you'll have to keep posting about your adventures using the trailer.

    WWII spen trailer

When I rebuilt the frame, I changed the tongue to a receiver hitch tube, so I could switch it to a ball, pintle, max coupler, etc. I really like the flexibility it provides

    WWII spen trailer

I have one of those too, I rebuilt the frame with custom c-channel (3/16", vs. the original 8th inch), and started on the sheet metal before I got stalled. I put white oak sideboards and bolted on the fenders and called it a day.... I really need to finish it up! Yours looks great!

    Scare Horn

Why dont you just get one of the cheap ones they sell as a sound device for boaters? It's an aerosol type can with a screw on megaphone nozzle. Should last forever til you need it.

    2020 Defender Spy Shots....

I'm disappointed at the people who say that the defender can't be made to look like a defender because of safety ratings, blah blah blah. Nobody looks at a jeep wrangler and says, "hmmm, is that the new Kia?" But that's exactly what LR has done, even when the camo comes off. Jeep doesn't sell...

Looking for feedback on flatbed trays.

I may be wrong, but I think the xp camper has a sliding rear drawer just like the norweld, as well as the stairs. Food for thought.

1st gen Cummins/W250 and FWC Grandby revival

Love that truck, and the patina is awesome, but there's also something to be said for a nice paint job. I think if you have the tools and skills to do the job, do it yourself, but if you have doubts I'd farm out the paint. Prep is the most important part! Are you thinking about building your...

MTB vs Touring for Eastern US

I think you'd do well if you have your mountain bikes with you on the east coast. Theres some great trails that have already been mentioned, but I'll throw out a plug for Richmond as an area to ride. Pocahontas state park just south of Richmond has some of the best trails I've ever ridden on...

Looking for feedback on flatbed trays.

I'm following this thread excitedly, because I'd love to learn more about the different flatbed/ tray options out there. I love the look of the Patriot PCOR tray, but it seems ludicrous to spend $15k on one vs. $3k for an American flatbed. I'm curious as to what the big difference is between an...

    Sold 2008 Ford F250 ,V10, Carli kit, 37's, 5.13 gears, ARB air locker 15,500
