Avenza turns the FS and USGS maps into PDF, so that helps a bit. It does not do routing though, only GPS tracking and measurements.
For viewing photos from my camera on my iPad, I have the xDisk app and SD cards with an iDevice adapter, but I have not really invested much time into figuring...
How big is your iPad’s storage?
We have run an old 32GB iPad Mini with Avenza for 3-4 years now and it’s only about 70% full. I usually duplicate on my phone for backups or to leave the iPad in the truck and take my phone for a hike.
Avenza is free and is what the FS uses. All the USGS (topo...
Your tire inflate/deflate system will work great and is what is done by the Indeflate, UpDownAir, MORRFlate, etc. systems as well as a number of DIY options. One on YouTube has a great walkthrough about having air chucks at every tire... something like Cheap Ass Garage... I’m off there, I’ll...
I guess that depends if you like rock and roll... I do.
Very solid though, folds up to a somewhat reasonable size, removable, and not too heavy.
I have a brand new 4 step, 18” wide, aluminum model from CR Brophy that was too long for our application that I could send to you for a reasonable...

I had to use 2.25” spacers to get Tacoma wheels to fit on my trailer. Normal trailer backspacing and truck backspacing are way different. As a plus, the adapter allowed me to keep the center caps on the Tacoma wheels.
I am no expert in these maths, but trying to setup something similar.
13.83Ah @ 12V... that heater runs at around 1-2A on low, right? Gonna smoke that battery in one night. How well does the solar replenish the battery and what if there’s no sun?
My calcs could be wrong, just a thought exercise.
I’m excited to see your build! I have bounced ideas like this around in my head for a while, but never had the guts... I have used polyurethane and PVC foams in small to medium sized projects on a sailboat. Polystyrene is so much easier to come by and cheaper. One product that I’ve found to get...
Given. Wet is generally not good when camping. Natural down or poly down... pick what’s going to work best for your situation, eh?
