I am planning on getting a UV82 after I get done spending money on the Montero :) Then a mobile of some sort (cross band repeater functional).
I recently got my General license.
I think this Timing Belt Service Kit (a rental tool at O'Reilly Auto Parts, for example) would help. It allows the cam gears to be held in place while you put the timing belt on.

Rock Auto seems to indicate that Hitachi is the manufacturer of the Mitsubishi water pump, not Aisin.
I know from the Toyota world that Aisin was generally the preferred manufacturer.
Does anyone have experience with this Aisin kit ?

98 winter package. No rust. Well maintained and documented.
Going to be doing the front cam seals and freshening up the front end when I get back to NC. Looking in to the Adventure Driven Design idler arm upgrade products too.
Two tanks full of fuel so far has me getting 21 mpg, then 23 mpg.
