MacBook with Retina Displays released!
Not sure how I feel. I can say the retina display on the iPad is a World of difference.
These are about $500 extra for the Retina display on the macbook pros.
Probably well worth the money especially if you crunch video or picture editing.

Ace, it is funny you mention ticks. I grew up in South Carolina and a very rural S.C., so ticks were not unfamiliar to me. However, I have never seen them like they were there this past weekend. We were sitting out on the gravel bar and as the sun rose, moved under the trees. Suddenly, we...
Oaqua: Thanks- that is exactly what we are looking for ... a place so our children experience the great outdoors.
The only disappointment was that we picked up a hefty large garbage bag full of garbage from former campers or boaters (that had washed up on shore).
We took it to the ranger...
Well, life sure can get in the way sometimes from doing the very things in life that you want to do!!
For a few years now, I have struggled with the fact that there are so very few places on the East Coast/MidWest where you can truly get out in the back country and remote camp as so much of the...
Hi, Loren:
I 'edited' some of the personal attacks after exchanging PM's with the folks that were getting ... well, it's all smoothed over now ... anyway.
Thanks for the kind words.
iToaster ... I love it.
Let's do hope these folks get their trailers and can get out and enjoy life.

First let me say ... doing my mod job involves keeping cool heads, and being the voice of reason. Personally speaking, I should have removed this thread when it started because basically, it, in and of itself, is a violation of the terms of use that everyone agreed to when they signed up...
Thanks Brad!
Hard Trailz- what you don't see there is that this was a dead end peninsula. I had the distance from the tree line to the water (rougly 12 feet) to turn around my entire rig!! It took an hour of 3 point turns to do that. Wouldn't have been so bad but that log you see in the water...
Fish:
I am not making excuses for Chris. I am simply stating that when the last thread started, I personally (didn't have to ... just did) called him to find out what the scoop was. He impressed me as a conscientious family man not trying to make excuses, but with a real sense of pride in his...
Pat: Wonder where you got that Ute? ;)
Here are two shots of our camp this past weekend at Land Between the Lakes. Deep into the woods and camping in what would normally have been the lake, but assured by Rangers that the lakes were not rising anytime soon! Never saw anyone other than the...
Day-time View from our campsite at Land Between The Lakes this past weekend:
Night-time View from our campsite at LBL: (not sure why it is loading up blury here. Not that way on my MacBook!)
Could have stayed there for a month!

Not sure what type of small business you own, but I own a few. We own an Aveda Day Spa and Salon and much of our business revolves around supply from Aveda. Many times there are raw ingredient resource challenges and we cannot get a specific product necessary for a signature service we offer. In...
I have to say regarding this comment you quoted: In many, many circumstances, artists are artists that become business owners and they refuse to compromise quality of their product due to time deadlines! I know this because my Mom is an professional artist (watercolor) and owns her own gallery...
Guys- while camping, I check if I have Internet from time-to-time just to stay on top of my duties. That is the great thing about working as a remote person.
Just so we are clear- I have no personal relationship with Chris. The first time I ever spoke with him was to a) make him aware of the...
Please re-read my post. I said I considered removing the entire thread originally, but indeed there were more folks that even though frustrated with the wait, were very well pleased with the final product. The only reason we considered removing as this was a private matter between a vendor and...
SlowLayne: Not sure why you are apologizing as there is nothing to be apologizing for.
Realistically, for most of us, we spent an extreme amount of money for something we may use 2% of the time we own our trucks.
We all have this thing called ... ehem ... LIFE! And it keeps getting in the way of...
I think the OP should go read the other Sierra4x4 thread. I think Chris is a good guy, but just over committed small business owner, guilty of wanting to please everyone all the time, but suddenly realizing he doesn't have the "S" on his chest he thought he did!
If you read on the other thread...
