Day One...not that this is going to go fast, or anything

Yep, likewise...all sorts of scheduling issues that trip LOL. We had a heckuva time coordinating with folks. Sounds good, the wandering, or if we get out to your neck of the woods we'll give you a holler.

Day One...not that this is going to go fast, or anything

Nope, I appreciate that. I'll be using either the palletized tanks that hold about 200 gallons, or possibly a flat stainless 150 gal potable water tank....but I'd have to load that into a trailer and bring it back. Too valuable to just dump. The pallet tank is disposable, and as long as it's...

    FGs for sale

Too early a model for me, but dt - check prices and shipping first, might still be less expensive than sourcing things over here.....if I had an earlier model I'd definitely be looking at what mab is selling, wherever I was in the world.

Day One...not that this is going to go fast, or anything

Yep, I figured as much. I'll be taking it up the interstate nice and easy...still a long drive though. Maybe I'll strap a disposable water tank over the rear, fill it, and drain it once I get there. That'd add a decent amount of weight.

Yep, the ladders are accessories. I ran one on each side....so that they protect the front edge of the camper :D...great minds think alike, or something like that. I don't see why they couldn't do a simple bar extension though, but I opted for full ladders. Both to be able to access the rack...

    FG step options

Those must be some big tires, Phil. I'm also opting for the cable steps, at least on the passenger side. A 9" drop sounds a bit too far though. I think 6" would be better, as far as having them tangle with the tire while running, a short leash limiting rear travel should work fine.

Day One...not that this is going to go fast, or anything

Oh, the mesh is coming...the mesh is coming. (which reminds me I wanted to start a thread on it)... I opted against the HP water, instead going for the gelled fuel option. The water will come after, relatively low pressure. Gotta plan it right, ya know? Total weight of that rack I'd estimate is...

Bit more progress....Roof Rack is now done Today was the install day for the semi-custom rack. It's based off of the Earthcruiser rack, but has a basket, an additional ladder on the passenger side, and a full diamond plate top (tropical roof style), plus an option for the additional Baja...

Fuso Crew Cab 4X4 with XPCamper Cube

So it goes..yeah, the ULSD can be a real pain to deal with. Limp modes, however, are in all sorts of vehicles, even dating back to the '90's. What model COE did you get? OM352A engine? Is that it in your avatar? A TrolF?

    FGs for sale

It'll be interesting hearing what the differences are...only one I've driven with a modded suspension is the ATW.

What if MFTA offered an FG with the 6 sp manual transmission and 2 sp transfer case?

That would be awesome. Like you, I find it very helpful in some situations, and I'd defintely pay a premium to get it again. I don't find the duonic itself to be that much of a hindrance, though. I'd be OK with the duonic and a two speed xfer. I'm right at 6'2", no issues with cab head room...

    The ride!

dlh is right....but to really know, you have to take the ride. There's gotta be someone around with one. My truck is 9600# or so, with the ATW suspension, wheels and the M608Z tires. I normally run around 65psi, and I use the hell out of the suspension seats :D But, to answer your question, a...

Isuzu NPR 4x4 Beast! - Rebelzilla by Rebel Off Road

Well, granted that it's interesting, but it's the same thing as many other extreme builds - if you have the money or skill set, nothing is impossible. But for most folks, they want to be able to go down to the dealership and buy their rig, and do small modifications to it. Then there's that...

What if MFTA offered an FG with the 6 sp manual transmission and 2 sp transfer case?

I'd be up for either a two speed xfer retrofit kit, and I'd be willing to go...let's say...wild guess here - up to 10K for an OEM retrofit kit/remap/etc, or if that's not available as a retrofit, but only in a new vehicle...yes, I'd probably be in line for a new truck. 2 speed xfer is that...
