    Diving in Head First!

The constant screwing and unscrewing shouldn't be that big a deal, but then again these tires aren't that large. When we were running the Unimogs, with up to 14.00x20 tires, we'd always unscrew the stems, but the volume of those tires is hugely different from any tire that can reasonably be run...

    FUSO FG Seats?

Details in the sig line. Might be worthwhile seeing if you have a heavy truck salvage place around...someone that deals in buses is a possibility too. Problem with most of them is cab floors are flat panel, and the seat bases are a can be a couple of feet high, not counting suspension travel.

Try this post, if you need more detail I can shoot some more : http://www.expeditionportal.com/forum/threads/134129-Day-One-not-that-this-is-going-to-go-fast-or-anything?p=1829393#post1829393 I'll just add that the seats are definitely higher, and your sight line will be just that many inches...

    FG's in Action

What are you normally running for deep sand on your rig? Tire pressure-wise, I mean.

    FG's in Action

Ah, got it. One thing I'd say to do, then, is do some experimentation on how low you can drop your tire pressure for emergency recovery. Might be lots lower than you think, and might do the trick. I'll ETA to say that another old technique was to get a short length of timber, and bind it to...

    FG's in Action

At one time, it was a taught technique in the U.S. Army for recoveries....but I can only imagine how much of a pain it would be to unwrap the cable afterwards. One other option, for use in dire circumstances, was a technique and tool used by Tatra in the early Dakar races.....go about 12...

anyone running a trailer brake controller in a recent model FG?

That probably would have worked well, mog....but I can't find any either. I'm running a powered 5 into 4 converter, and I think I'll just wind up tapping into the output on that. That way it'll be completely isolated from the truck CAN Bus, which isn't a bad thing.

anyone running a trailer brake controller in a recent model FG?

Well.....tapping into the brake switch is a no go. I'm thinking I'm going to actually tap into the brake light, and actuate the P3 that way. Unless I get lucky and there's a trailer connection that's hiding somewhere, or maybe FUSO actually has a trailer harness. I'll be calling FUSO N.A...

Oztent? Sure, there's a U.S. distributor. Fairly fast shipping, as long as everyone's not on vacation.

    NPS slowly emerges

Unimogs and Pinz's have had those hub steps for years. I remember some of us discussed them a while back for FG's, maybe it's time to do them. I've also thought about running a hydraulic lift as an elevator, or even a linear or screw....

    Mitsu Fuso Camper examples

He had it fitted out as a cargo box, and living space. The two bikes you see are his and his brothers'. The front of the box has a bunk bed installation. Passenger side of the box has a counter that runs down the side, with storage, a sink, etc. He has a small winch to drag the bikes up a...
