    63 Unimog $3000

Hmmm...wonder if that's one of my old trucks. If it has a 406 or 404.0 cab with a hydro steering....

Sooo.....what are the thoughts on the Phoenix?

I've spoken with them a couple of times. Absolutely no plans to do another one, especially since they're doing so well with their standard lineup. From what I understand, the one unit they did for the FG was done during a slow period for them.

    Official OZTENT review

Open windows are about the only way to deal with it...or have a bivy inside. I used an RV2 during the mudpocalypse at OvEx recently. It kept the rain out just fine, no leaks, but it was almost raining inside at night from condensation. It's a tight tent. Ventilation will be your friend.

    FUSO FG Seats?

If you do get those, or find out more about them, please post up. Years ago when I had my last mog, I had Isri seats in it, sourced from a bus. Awesome seats! Paid $35 or so, bought new they're really expensive. But terrific seats. No leather option available either, from what I remember.

Sooo.....what are the thoughts on the Phoenix?

See? If you would have shown up while I had that case of beer, we would have figured out how to solve all the questions that might ever arise, inexperience notwithstanding. But nooooooooooooooooo you were probably hanging out with the ne'er-do-well moggers, right? :sombrero:

anyone running a trailer brake controller in a recent model FG?

It's time to put one in, the flatbed needs more work. It'll be a mid size dump trailer, but the truck is light enough that it'll be a good thing to have brakes on the trailer. The questions is - what controller? From what I'm seeing on other sites and reviews, the Tekonsha P3 is highly...

Look up nationalseating.com, and it's the model 97 seat base. Looking over past thread posts, about $290USD

    FUSO FG Seats?

A bit hacked to get it in, but yeah that's one of them. 3" of travel (only), but it's nice to be able to dial in anything from no travel to full travel, depending on what kind of a surface you're on.

I look forward to seeing your elevator design at the next OvEx, if not sooner :D

    FUSO FG Seats?

You mean a seat base like this with a dampener? About 4 bills would get you a new one. Not that pricy.

How many 2012+ FG owners here?

Heh, no worries, I'm a noob too. In a way, yah, I guess you're "locking" the transfer case when you hit the switch. Most folks will say "engaging" the t-case though. Most of the time when folks mention "locking" in regards to gear cases, they'll be referring to locking differentials. Which...

How many 2012+ FG owners here?

???? You're talking earlier model than 2011 or so, right? Please say so :D ALSO: In doing the interior tear down, I noticed that the locking nut on my parking brake lever cable was spinning loose. No issues, bit of locktite and tightened it up. However, I was doing a search online and came...

Sooo.....what are the thoughts on the Phoenix?

It's a personal thing....or maybe not (age related, and I'm nowhere near as limber as I used to be), but there's no way I'd go for one of the short height doors. If, for some reason we just had to go that route, I'd have to buy a couple of bump hats. I did ask if it would be possible to do a...

    TerraLiner:12 m Globally Mobile Beach House/Class-A Crossover w 6x6 Hybrid Drivetrain

Lots of the twin steer Tatra's were actually used as prime movers in civilian service. Weight distribution isn't that much of an issue, nor is armor an issue with them. They're basically traction engines for heavy loads in potentially poor traction. Better turning radius to move through urban...
