Bought the 1,100lb variant from etrailer.com but it won't mount properly to the 1.5"x3" box channel frame on my trailer. Looks like a nice enough trailer tongue jack but...not a direct bolt on jack despite being advertised to fit "...trailer tongues 2" to 6" tall". And the included mounting...
Flexible/bendable panels are notorious for...not lasting very long especially anything to do with vibration; experienced failure of same < 6-months old. And the warranty wasn't worth the paper it was printed on. But, I did contact Merlin and I am curious about their flex PV panel...
I've had my Fiamma F45 atop my UZJ100 for more years than I can remember. I went with it because it was super fast to deploy/put away, rugged aluminum shell, etc., etc. and it has not disappointed. I have rigged up my own canvas side panels for wind buffer & additional shade. Works...
Ok, maybe the OP has answered this question here or the cross post on 'MUD, and I just missed it; but what was the response from RELiON? It appears, to this layman anyway, the published specifications for the OP's battery should power the ARB compressor without issue. And, I also wonder, how...
I had a #10 toothed zipper (don't know the brand...) on my then MSA spare tire mounted trash bag, which gets plenty of dust & grit from trail time, and it never failed; but the fabric eventually succumbed to UV degradation. The #10 coil zipper on the current Howling Moon spare tire mounted...
I would love a 60/30 (or even 75/30) liter split dual zone fridge freeze...all the others are nearly evenly split between the two compartments and we typically only need about 50% allocated for freezer space (or a little less).
^ The best method for longer term storing of down products is fluffed and inside a large clean bag so no compression on the down. The RTT puts some compression on the down...tradeoff for convenience.
We have a Feathered Friends for RTT & trailer I special ordered with nylon cover...got tired of trying to dry out cotton covers for all things camping. Its about 10-years old and even though well over a hundred nights in it...and being stored in the Columbus much of the time (yeah, I know ?)...
All good points. I've found, over the years, YKK zippers are most reliable. I've already worn out the zipper on my Autohome Columbus main entry/exit door panel and it wasn't fun to repair. I've never had a YKK zipper failure; however Autohome doesn't utilize YKK brand zippers AFAIK. But...
FWIW, When I bought my PS stove support/table I purchased two different lengths of spreader "bars". I use the shorter bars with my 22" whereas when I had the much larger 3-burner I used the longer spreader bars. Not sure if they still offer different length bars or not. But they would be...
When it gets dusty/dirty/wet etc., hook & loop isn't as effective. And its considerably slower to attach walls, etc., than a good zipper especially in the wind. I use hook & loop aka Velcro for many applications, I just wouldn't want it for this application. And, generally, bulkier.
I use a cast iron flame tamer atop my PS stove to lower the effective burner temp. https://www.amazon.com/Paderno-World-Cuisine-A1739021-Diffuser/dp/B0007T25ZC/ref=sr_1_27?keywords=flame+tamer&qid=1562505904&s=gateway&sr=8-27
Also note, the PS stove burner control knobs just need a gentle...
Those new to Partner Steel stoves: No need to crank the burner flame control to off! A gentle hand...will stall the need to rebuild ‘em. And they'll modulate properly. No need to ask how I learned all about that ?.
^ I also have the Partner Steel stove stand. I ordered it with both sets of 'stretchers' to accommodate my then big 36" 3-burner PS stove and also 18" and current 22" stoves. Using the shorter length "stretchers" results in a smaller size platform but taller; longer 'stretchers' result in the...
IMHO the best griddle: https://www.amazon.com/Chef-King-Gauge-Steel-Griddle/dp/B001BQVBBO/ref=mp_s_a_1_5?keywords=carbon+steel+griddle&qid=1562286797&s=gateway&sr=8-5
Use it in camp and home. Works with the 22” PS and even better with the 18”.
FWIW: I use a generic 1lb propane adapter...
