You’re not wrong! But all I’m saying is that if you look at how it was built, it *should* be reliable. I’m not guaranteeing that it will be!

So exciting! Can’t wait to be buying one of these in a little while. All I need is a west coast distributor. Also really stoked to see how people build these out. Fingers crossed someone figures out how to put a wet bath in the 6.5 ft one.

The 7.3 should also be fairly reliable. It doesn’t have a long track record, but on paper it should be long lasting and easy/simple to fix when things do break.

If you’re going international, then gas is really the only option. If you’re going gas, then the 7.3 is the best option, IMO.

Of course a built truck with aftermarket parts is going to be better off road than a Tremor. But that’s not the value of the Tremor. The tremor is still going to be able to take you a lot of places that a stock XLT can’t and it’ll have a factory warranty. Plus you can finance it with a pretty...
Seems like really the only downside to these things is that there aren’t that many people that can work on them, right? Why would anyone buy a unimog when you can buy these for way less?

I agree it’s nice if you don’t plan on modifying anything. Right off the dealer lot it’s pretty capable. But montypower is also correct. Unless you were planning to get a higher trim, it makes sense to just buy an XL and upgrade from there. For the cost of an XLT Tremor you can get a pretty...
Yes I think the 7.3 will actually be a pretty popular crate engine for this reason. It’s really tuneable and can pretty easily be cranked up to 700hp with little modification.

I think the problem with a replacement/aftermarket large gasoline tank is going to be government regulation. As far as I know, there’s some law somewhere that says that while you can develop and sell diesel tanks to your hearts content, gasoline tanks are a no-go (maybe for some safety...
I would love to see someone try to resell these as a pop top. I know Victorian has said he doesn’t want to do it but maybe a reseller with a lot of experience could.

Agreed! Originally I was going to go with some progressive Thuren springs for my 3500 and add airbags to help with the sag, but ultimately I guess if the plan is to carry a camper with it, why not just build some springs that can carry it. My partner and I also have a second car for around town...
