Another person throwing the term 'bulletproofing' around with no clue what they are talking about. Wow $9k with no internal work, I wonder what they paid for.
This post seems out of place within the context of this thread... did you mean to post here?
With that being said, that's a super cool van.
Do you mean to say that you'll be offering it for sale in the coming weeks? Location?
Yeah it sure was.
Such a cool van, definitely bittersweet to let it drive away. Went to an awesome couple out of Colorado, and I know it will be used for plenty of adventuring, so I'm happy about that.
I have had excellent luck with KO2's and run them on pretty much all my vehicles.
I have over 50,000 miles on the current set on my Tacoma daily driver. I do a 5 tire rotation, and these still have a ton of tread left. That truck weighs 5k lbs with the camper. Anything lighter than that, and...
That "tile" looks like peel and stick vinyl. Notice how the tile rounds the shower corner. I doubt this remodel added any weight, looks like they just resurfaced the finishes.
Wow this looks really cool.
I kind of feel like Javier/Crow gets hated on too hard. I know there has been some controversy over their work in the past, but I have seen a lot of seemingly well done rigs from the lately. I have no first hand experience, but I have seen this repeated often, but...
Bulletproofing refers to wrapping the engine block, headers, and the complete exhaust system with reinforced kevlar. It's the only way to ensure you won't break down due to stray bullets in the upcoming apocalypse.
I don't know much about the Nissan Chassis, are those body-on frame? I've always steered far away from the sprinter platform favoring the durability, reliability of a Ford chassis (and easier/cheaper servicing). How does that compare to a Ford,
The Ford trucks and 4x4 van conversions seem so...
The underside is REALLY clean for a truck in your region... do you guys salt your roads in MO?
If this was closer I'd be coming to take a look! Good luck with sale!
It's not the 'armored van' itself that I find hilarious. I have just never seen one with an ATM, and tiny check cashing office.
I see them all over for armored transport - i.e. the companies like brinks that pick up cash from businesses to transport and deposit.
Someone spent a lot of money getting this little 'mobile atm' made.
Look at that little control room inside. Just imagine working in there all day.
This is one of the most bizarre vans I have seen.
I wanted this one real bad. I was watching it as it closed, the bidding just got a bit too high for me being that it had noted engine and transmission issues, and is across the country from me. Could be easy fixes, but could be another $10k in repairs before it's reliable. That's the thing...
