    1986 22R and 1986 V6 Toyota 4x4 P/U parting out

I have almost everything from both trucks. A lot of the stuff is in very good shape and reusable. I have axles, Transmissions, transfer cases driveshafts, a very good 22RE that has been converted to a carburetor, too many parts to list. I am in 65570 zip code. I'm having problems posting pics...

    who has put a 2200R into a 1988 pickup V6 frame

Okay I'll take the ones out of the 4-cylinder frame. They sit about 2 inches closer to the front then the mounts on the 6 cylinder frame. Should I weld them in where they were on the 4-cylinder frame or while the men were they were on the. If I do it that way it looks like the transmission...

Just hoping for the easy way out before we get out the torch. The trans will be close but we may have to make a plate for that.

    Rebuilding a 1986 and 1988

Lots of parts. Right now I am trying to track down the fuse and relay box that sits under the hood on the passenger side.

    Rebuilding a 1986 and 1988

No check on emissions other that for the Cat. Emissions and DMV will be no issue for me. Do you know a good source for parts?

    Rebuilding a 1986 and 1988

If I am taking the motor and cab from the old truck (the 86) wouldn't I want to use that harness?

    Rebuilding a 1986 and 1988

Motor mounts or body mounts, I am assuming motor mounts. We have the 2200 with a carb, but I suppose that won't be an issue as far as the mounts. Will the fuse and relay box under the hood be compatible fro the 2200 carbed and the 3.0 FI?

    Rebuilding a 1986 and 1988

I have a wrecked 1986 2200r and I got a 1988 3.0 Toyota 4x4 P/U. The 86 was wrecked. Front passenger side and frame in that area destroyed. It took out the fender (outer and inner cab attached), the electrical boxes their, the batter and everything else in that area. The motor trans and...

For those that carry Guns and Overlanding

If you are exploring in Utopia then I suppose you don't have to concern yourself about protection. A couple years ago my area faced the worst outbreak of rabies we had in decades. Bad people aren't the only thing to worry about.

    Tires: Falken at3w

I am currently running super swampers bias ply but they need to be replaced. Before that I had TrXus Mts. My jeep used to be more of a weekend warrior and I used to do more hard core wheeling at off road parks. Now I am spending more time in the jeep and doing far less aggressive off...

Ozark Trail "High Performance" cooler - any good?

I was in Wal-Mart earlier this week and say these also. The zippers were crappy and so was the stitching. People really liked the mugs and the coolers that this article references but there are also other Ozark trail items that aren't as wonderful. Some of the later posts here speak of...
