Sure, wood will look quite nice. Teak isn't the only critter that'll handle the job, though. As long as you protect the wood appropriately, nearly any hardwood will do the trick. Teak has a high concentration of naturally ocurring oil, which helps it shed water. Anyway, if you use a hardwood...
