My New (AEV) American Expedition Vehicles Jeep!!

The new correct Gear Seat Covers went on today. While I love the simple style of the Escape Gear. These Smitty Built G.E.A.R with all the removable pouches, built in trash bins, etc are just tremendous! I'll post pictures. Would have today, but it gets dark around here at like 4:10! I hate these...

    New Defender Concept

You are way on point Scott! The 94,95 and 97 Defenders were woefully lacking in rear seating, but they hit a home run compared to this truck. I'll also add to some of the points above- Dressing this truck up with bumpers, sliders, smaller wheels, larger tires, lift, etc isn't going to help it...

    New Defender Concept

One of my favorite pictures of accessories is one of an old 109 with a Power Take Off (PTO) blender mounted to the front bumper! Not sure the DC100 would be able to do that either! ;) D

    New Defender Concept

Wow, and while we get fed this line of bull from Land Rover, I get a call from Chrysler's Jeep Feedback Department today to very politely spend a few minutes on the phone with me to ask why we chose a Jeep, what did we do (lifestyle wise) that influenced our purchase decision! Wow- I have lost...

    Brandy's 2012 JKUR Build

I am talking about coming up with something like the ones on your 90 for both mine and hers. Her mother lives with us and in her 70's and getting in and out of hers (while her mother doesn't complain) can be a challenge, and for sure, she'd never make it in mine- But she also never rode in any...

    Post Pic's of your Jeep

My- I love that Orange Crush!! What have you got in the AEV wheel box to accentuate that great truck? D

    Brandy's 2012 JKUR Build

Hey, James: Just wondering why your Rubi has the side steps? My wife's came with sliders- and she wants the steps! I am trying to determine if I can adapt some 110 BritPart flip downs to fit the sliders that could be removed when off road. Thoughts? (Mr. Fabricator Extraordinaire!!) D

My New (AEV) American Expedition Vehicles Jeep!!

Yes- If the jeep is built by AEV or modified before being sold as a new truck, the AEV items and conversions are covered if done by an authorized AEV sanctioned/Jeep Dealer. D

    My Conqueror and Rig!

Well, I actually ordered them with the Jeep, but now that they have arrived, I think the cost of changing the hubs, getting adapters to take care of the off-set (and not knowing for sure that they will fit- i.e.: it's a gamble!), and three new tires. I may return the wheels, order some AEV...

My New (AEV) American Expedition Vehicles Jeep!!

Hey, Akecj7- Those are my designs. I have them made up. You think folks would be interested in them if I made them available for purchase? I have had several PM regarding them. Hmmm

"way" below invoice ... may be a stretch, ... but they what Bill said is right. At the zero percent interest, ... my two payments combined is about what the payment on a 2011 LR4 would have been. Zero percent is a good thing- especially when you depreciate these through a business. :) Thanks D

I'm not Obi either - and yes, I was referring to the fact that paint would be easier to scratch taking the top on and off, ... than just leaving it black.

My New (AEV) American Expedition Vehicles Jeep!!

We went with the black top on her Rubi- because honestly, mine is less likely to see open top time. Her's might see more- and the black cannot get scratched. D

My New (AEV) American Expedition Vehicles Jeep!!

I hear there is a town near you that is in a oil boom and the pay is outrageous! Might be worth doing for a couple years to fund said house and trucks!! :) D

My New (AEV) American Expedition Vehicles Jeep!!

Let's keep in mind- this AEV was not designed by me or them to be a rock crawler- rather an overland truck that can "get you there". I see these pics of folks in trucks going over insane obstacles just (it seems) to prove "they can", while all the time, there is clearly an easier path right next...

5 lug to 6 lug hubs - why is this such a pain?

Dan- It may be possible for you to have the old studs punched out and new studs drilled and punched in. You should shoot me a PM, and I can get you the number and address for Toddco suspension in Alabama. They were able to drill my 5 on 5's to 6 on 5's with no problems and it worked like a...

My New (AEV) American Expedition Vehicles Jeep!!

I don't pretend to be an engineer. So, I am going to ask Christopher to come on and explain the mechanics. The 5:13 is a "tall" gear. Think chain gears on a 12 speed bicycle. Additionally, you don't necessarily need a Rubicon to build an AEV truck, as in my case, the truck started out as a Sport...

My New (AEV) American Expedition Vehicles Jeep!!

Beowulf- The dealer misunderstood which seat covers I wanted. The complete seats are enroute. These are just the seat back version. Unfortunately, G.E.A.R is not available for the 2011 60/40 split seats, so I may take two of the full bench seats to a canvas shot to have them altered to fit. D

My New (AEV) American Expedition Vehicles Jeep!!

My understanding- so successful the too colors, that they temporarily stop releasing trucks in those colors so that they can sell off some of the other colors. Just what I am told however. D
