My New (AEV) American Expedition Vehicles Jeep!!

James: They did an initial run of Sahara Tan in 2012, but now have stopped offering it as well as Natural Green (for a while- I am told). They are still out there. A super nice 2012 AEV listed at a dealership in Illinois on AEV's website- new trucks for sale. D

My New (AEV) American Expedition Vehicles Jeep!!

Absolutely! Even in the soft top version (which I test drove). In the soft top model that had hard full side doors, ... I was able to carry on a conversation with three in the back seat with as much ease as any regular automobile. In both my truck and my wifes, we both have hands free blue...

My New (AEV) American Expedition Vehicles Jeep!!

The LR3 in all reality -- had a "van-like" stance to it and it is weighs quite a bit more than the JKU. It just isn't as "nimble" as the JKU (in her eyes- which is all that matters- When Momma's Happy- Everyones Happy! D

I'll add to this- There are people on this board that are great people with no agenda. They are willing to lead, guide and direct without pushing any choice on you. The great thing about e-mailing with Scott Brady is he is the one that pointed out: "the platform must be usable for you ... not...

My New (AEV) American Expedition Vehicles Jeep!!

It is really a complex story that includes a long self analysis. The long story short- I became obsessed with Land Rover. I totally forgot why I got involved with the Marque, and became more consumed with the truck than I was in enjoying using them. The ONLY wedge we had (my wife and I ) as a...

    My Conqueror and Rig!

Well, after 12 years as a die hard Land Rover Nutzoid case, ... I have landed on what I think is the best 'Modern' platform Expedition Vehicle. I still love Land Rovers- (don't particularly care for the direction they are taking rover right now), but in all honesty, my first expedition truck was...

I'll also add that in the 130, there is almost no room for legs. I had a friend with one, and his kids in car seats were miserable because their legs were into the backs of the front seats. So, I am sure better to have the passenger leg room verses the cargo room. D

    AEV Brute Double Cab

THAT !!! Is flat out beautiful and as Scott Brady said- probably the most stunning and functional development in Over-landing in 10 years! Wow. D

    AEV Brute Double Cab

I Actually even think it would look great with the full rear doors, but in a super short bed- think Defender 110 crew cab pick up.

    JK flatbed from Burnsville Offroad

UpCruiser- I think you are asking a question that beckons the question- Why do any of us do mods on our trucks. I just purchased an AEV JKU because it was built like I wanted it - while a stock Rubicon just was not. I wanted turn key and easy (tired of wrenching). So, somewhere out there, there...

Narrower platform (easier on the trails). Can pull anything you can throw at it (trailer wise). 500 Horse Power! Way cooler than a PW (IMHO) I agree that the flat bed is not a great look, but put a bed on the back, and you have one very cool Crew Cab PickUp! D

    Good Question!

    JK flatbed from Burnsville Offroad

Typically, I don't like Burnsville conversions, as they look like hopped up jeeps, but this is really nice. If they did a Crew Cab pick up on this PW chassis/drivetrain, ... that would be something! Even like the wheels and the stance. Not a fan of the front bumper (easy enough to change). D
