I'm pretty sure I over engineered the bumper....I put the swing-out out and sat on the end of it to see if the bumper would bend....the only thing I saw bending was the frame of the truck....It would bend so far down I could stick my pinky between the bushing and the mount...if I wanted too...

Thanks, I just hope it looks half as good as what I want it too......I will never again ask why bumpers cost 2000 bucks.

Thanks. I made the cut even with the body mount in rear, you can see in the above picture where the busing is and where the body mount contacts the inner wall...one thing I was happy to find when cutting this off was a plate just above where I cut that seals the cabin from the out side so it...

Im a grinder not a welder. This little harbor freight welder is doing an ok job especially since it is running off a 50ft extension cord. I wa finally able to get the maximum use from a cut off wheel with out it getting pinched and exploding.

Started cutting the bumper tube in the shape i want, I just made a pie cut leaving the bottom of the tube to weld back together instead of cutting the whole section of and needing to weld a strap along the bottom. I think it'll work out great.

I have a predicament, I was planning on making the frame mount. I was planning on just making a box and drilling all the way through but the frame has a huge cut out on yhe inside and using through bolts wont do any good, should i just capture one side of the frame or go ahead with the box...

    Overlandtowater’s solid axle suburban

I dont remember the amount of play when I did the install but i do remember it was right in the middle of the accepted tolerance...I think I was being hypersensitive about the transmission after putting the shift kit in..the bump bump has either gone away or I've gotten used to it because I...
