Photographer & Olympian Chase Adventure From Baja to the Arctic

Glad to see Wisconsin and the Yoop made a good impression on ya! Wisconsin native here and used to fly those tiny planes back in the day from MKE to IWD. Lots of fun up there. Did you manage to try some smoked whitefish or a pasty??

Questions about Rooftop tent on Xterra

Because it's a low-profile mounting solution and works very well. If you don't like it, feel free to not comment.

    Front E-locker F150

from speaking with my buddy that has been a Ford Master Tech for 30+ years, he said it's been done and is perfectly fine. It's like the R180 on my Xterra. Folks have a locker in it, no issues, but you will hear that people blow them up all the time with and without and that the M205 is the...

    Front E-locker F150

I am probably not gonna put a whole heckuva lot of $$ in to my Xterra any longer. I will when I have to but My next project will be a F150 with V8 and blower and a few other goodies. I talked to RPG and I like their Raptor Conversion kit and talked to Currie and they can do a custom full...

Dave's roof tray adds an inch at most to the overall height. It's the lowest profile solution that you will find for mounting up top

Those are my thoughts exactly. I was talking with my close friend back home in Wisconsin and he said wait another year for 19s if I want the new diesel on the 150. It also looks like they are going to have the 10spd across all engine choices. I told him if I go with a 150, I'd have to do the...

    Front E-locker F150

Was doing some reading and found a thread that was talking about the fact that you could use an Eaton E-locker for an 8.8 rear locking differential in the front 8.8 (Captain Obvious here). From what I understand, they use the same ring and pinion obviously but it's an inverted diff compared to...

Questions about Rooftop tent on Xterra

I think when I decide to Titan swap, I will go with +550 or 600 on the Alcans. With my rear bumper and gear etc, it would be just about right. I'm planning on building a trailer to mount the RTT on so that should help take the load off the rear somewhat

Thanks for the insight! Yeah, those were things I was thinking about. I really like the 5.0 Coyote. My buddy is a Ford Tech and has had three F150s, an 11, 14 and 17. Alll V8s. He said he likes the EB but would not own one out warranty. So that rules that out. He said I could always get...

Keep the Xterra or get a capped longbed pickup?

These were taken when it was loaded down good and the adjustable shackles were at the lowest setting and no Timbren bump-stops... These were with the Timbren bumps and the shackles et in the mid-position... This is with the Timbren bumps and shackles set at the tallest setting...

For someone that will never probably pull anything really heavy (5-6000#), is a Super Duty too much truck? I'm torn between an F350 and an F150 supercrew with either the 5.5 or 6.5 bed. I have some ideas for the F150 in the way of suspension as well as the Super Duty. Either way, they are...
