    315's vs 285's, R16

I must be hallucinating and for the record I am drug free - condition of my employment is periodic, random drug screening so I got proof! :ylsmoke: Just curious - are you all running with 285's (33) and 5.29 gears? I am, and that's not my experience AT ALL. That's at a base weight of 4700...

    315's vs 285's, R16

Your first statement is spot-on. The second is close but not as accurate. For 285's or 33's, 4 cyl with AT will require at least 5.29's, especially so if it has any off-roading enhancements, e.g., armor, suspension changes, camping gear (ask me how I know). With the 4 cyl MT you can get away...

    Doc's 05 Tacoma Build Thread

Check on the inside of your engine bay - I got lucky with my solenoid and the WARN mounting bracket just happened to fit a pattern of bolts inside the engine bay below the air cleaner box and stil allowed access for my winch controller hard line. Remotely mounting winch controls will be very...

    EMU Suspension all corners

Although I don't have your generation Tacoma I can attest to the value I got from my all OME/Dakar suspension with addition of the Dakar AAL. Another under-rated addition I made was reinforcing the rear frame (weld-on reinforcement plates) for added weight of my rear tire carrier and 2 Jerry...

    Applejack's 4Runner Build

Thank you for saving that poor 4Runner from a life of bling. The Christmas Season is a great time to bring this embarassing fact to the light of day. Unfortunately, Toyota 4 Runners -- all over North America, and some right in our own backyard -- are subjected to being "pimped." For just...

Good install PHXtaco - you had some challenges but you noodled them out with some good solutions. Sorry that original option we talked about didn't turn out; still scratching my head why the boss didn't pursue it. Thanks for answering my questions. Yeah, I'm not a fan of things unsecured. On...
