The relationship of "real trucks" to bro-dozers is inversely proportional to the size of the city you live in, I.E more people less practical and useful trucks which is also equivalent to more people, more douches
215/85s look good on the XJ because it's so skinny and boxy, anything newer and they look too skinny on.
Some of the earlier land rovers look good with them as well

I agree, not that I am that old (30 this year) but nothing wrong with being comfortable. I just bought a therm a rest neoair dream pad last year, expensive but so comfortable hard to beat a good nights sleep.
I would just add some 285 75R117 tires on stock rims and call it a day for the power...
David livingstone was a British explorer and scientist/doctor who spent a large portion of his adult life wandering around Africa. Likely a pun there somewhere with Livingstone and its being your "living home" when out and about

No different than having a couple bikes on a hitch rack, actually better clearance than that out back.
Pathfinders and Xterras/Frontiers should have come with that extra capacity from the factory. I have 75 L now and I would love to have closer to 100 L (26/27 gal)

Looks like a pretty slick way to carry the fuel. If you get stuck or it's affecting your departure angle it can come off in a matter of seconds.
