I love mine. I traded in my 2016 4Runner when it started to get a little cramped. I know the Raptor is a little ridiculous but it makes me happy so I went for it. There's a massive increase in usable space and I no longer have to hear the engine ream itself to death going over mountain passes.
Located around Seattle, WA - Price is $2,200
Selling our pretty new RTT that we bought straight from the CVT showroom in Bend in August of 2019. We've used it a few times and it's been great but I think it's time we finally just got a little trailer now that we have a truck. This tent is CVT's...
I've been looking a lot at the Autohomes ... I'm looking for something around that 62"~64" width. It's going on the top of a full-size truck so width isn't really a concern. The CVT I have up there now looks tiny!
Thanks for the reply. I'll check out the new Roofnest.
About to search here but has anyone dealt with Autohome USA? I was looking at their "large" tents which look to be 63 inches wide and that would be perfect! They even have a clamshell (the Columbus model). Seems pretty nice ....
Short version - Trying to find some "wider" hardshell tents. What's out there other than the XXL Barouds?
Longer version - I head out often with my wife and son. Currently, we all three sleep in the RTT. We've had a lot of different tents and I've loved the hardshells we've had BUT they're...
I just recently got a Snugtop Rebel and I couldn't be happier. Like everyone else has said, I highly recommend the folding front window. I also got dual LED strip lights in mine which provides PLENTY of light inside. The only thing I would do differently (if I could) is maybe the windoor option...
No. I don't have a 2.7. I have a 3.5 in my 2019 Raptor that I'm always, somewhere in the back of my mind, worried about cam phasers and don't want to do anything to help contribute to them failing. I have changed the oil in that (twice now).
I'm not trying to be an ass so there's no need to be...
They're mounted using tonneau brackets from KB Voodoo as well. What you see is basically two thirds of a big U turned on its side. On the bottom half of the U, there's another bend and that's how it attaches to the truck bed.
Yes and no? I’ve ran a winch on a single battery but it’s always been with the vehicle on and charging. If I was going to regularly operate it with the vehicle off, I’d be more likely to look into a dual setup.
Do you have support for all those claims on how it works? The oil pressure issue is actually my largest concern with the feature. I'm not expecting to just start the car and hammer down, but I still hate seeing the oil pressure rise from zero as I step on the gas ...
That's fair enough. I always just got one of those small jump starters so I could use it on myself OR jump someone else if I needed to. Not sure of the gauge but I think this is one of those "the bigger, the better" things. I know I've seen some calculators out there if you just google for them...
Selling my aluminum bed rack that I bought from KB Voodoo less than two months ago. I used it to mount a rooftop tent but have decided to go a different way with the tent so I don't really need the rack anymore. It's their 14" aluminum rack with no-drill clips AND tonneau brackets so you can...
Are you sure you need a second battery? I don't know for sure what the 2014 came with but my 2019 has a pretty large AGM battery in it. It has a reserve capacity of something like 120 minutes. It's been way more than what I need to run one of the big dual compressor Dometic fridges. That being...
It may not show anything but they weren't there to film it. That being said, what it does show is the fact that a Raptor can make it over Blackbear (which, in my opinion, would be something "hard").
I saw one of the TFL videos on youtube where they took a Jeep up Blackbear and they had a Raptor behind them. It started out with them saying that this was no place for a Raptor and that it was the wrong truck to have but then, after making it down the staircase, the Raptor showed up and made it...
That's pretty much how I felt about the Tacoma. I had thoughts about wanting a truck since I had the 4Runner for a handful of reasons and the first thing I went to look at was a Tacoma but my wife immediately said that the back was too small (and I also didn't personally like how you sit as a...
Interesting choice ...
I'm in Seattle myself and got rid of my 2016 4Runner for a 2019 Raptor. Couldn't be happier. Some of the comments here are are pretty funny. Some people act like the thing is a land barge but it's only 6 inches wider than a normal F150. Honestly, the only time I feel...
