If the OVS is a "cheap knockoff", then the Gen 1 Darche must have gilded angels descend from on high when you open it. I have the OVS and it's definitely a quality piece of kit.

Can't speak to their tents but this awning is FANTASTIC. High-quality materials, super beefy mounts ... I'd totally recommend it to anyone.

It could be - They're usually pretty good about it. I'd try sending some emails and maybe trying to get in touch with them on Instagram or something as well. Do what you want to do but I will NEVER deal with another folding tent and those stupid canvas covers. Clamshells or pop-ups for me.
