^ FWIW all the mattresses in the RTTs I've owned were way too firm for me. Since its just me solo I'm using, in the new Columbus, my Exped Megamat 10 in leu of the foam mattress they come with and its uber comfie. Even though I'm a long time user of Exped mats, for backpacking, etc., I wasn't...
I've owned and extensively used an Overland, a Maggiolina Grand Tour and recently bought a new Columbus small extra long model. So far, admittedly with only two back to back nights in it, I love it.
Been thinking about this issue for awhile and I surmise its not that they can't build a...

I should qualify "better" than the MM for you: The particle size seems to be more consistent. This is a non-scientific comparison between the grounds rubbed between my fingers; I have not looked at them under a loop. The resulting grind with the Pharos using the same beans is also fluffier...
Still loving it! Used it on the 2nd camp outing this past weekend and although it takes longer to make 4+ morning caps using the Pharos than the inverter driven Capresso I was using the quality of the grind/resultant espresso is without compare. And the way the Pharos grinder just 'slices'...
More aggressive and remote terrain favors the relative simplicity of an early year 100 (relative to 100-Series ;)); '98-'99 MY IMO. For my uses/application the additional complexity and repair costs associated with the nav and exhaust manifold air pump system (EPA) coupled with more air bags...
The Lido is certainly more compact and would be fine for drip or FP but would tax my patience for espresso I'm afraid. Especially when serving up a half dozen or more capps in the morning and then again for espresso after lunch like I do on some of our forays.
Bean retention hasn't been an...
I've been using it everyday, several times a day :coffeedrink:, since I received it and its just fantastic. It grinds more consistently with better resulting espresso flavor than my Mazzer Mini grinder...and the Mazzer isn't exactly chopped liver if you know what I mean.
If you have any kind...
For those that are addicted to the taste of the freshest ground coffee: The Pharos hand powered coffee grinder is just amazing in every way! I was having issues with my Capresso burr grinder when camping out of my Land Cruiser...so it was the perfect excuse to try the Pharos.
Its been...
Yep...my 540C does it although sporadically/inconsistently. I thought it might have been signal interference from the Spot II that sits next to it...but it does it whether or not the Spot II is on/off.
RR: For off-road nav'ing the Lowrance Baja is still, overall, a better unit for my needs...
FWIW, National Geographic's Trails app for iPad feature 1:24,000 scale topo maps. And they download in a fraction of the time and hassle compared to MotionX. Not DVD transfer rates mind you but relatively tolerable given the NG scale. Too bad NG Trails topo for iPad is so buggy...
