have a gen 2 air locker on the ground. want to keep my LSD Gen 1 axle.
i like LSD as its a no fuss system and mitsu seems a good design.
anyway, i pulled the axle and disc from the gen 2 axle.
will it mate up to the gen 1 housing?
flange pattern is identical.
use a gen 1 axle maybe

likely you have a shorted switch. its a replacement item, and the cost is roughly 43 dollars from mitsu. there are 2 left in the u.s. in atlanta warehouse, so i have been told by my mitsu parts help.

key or woodruff key or half moon key is softer metal than the crank shaft which is machined but not hardened.
the key can be destroyed during install.
it can disintegrate and leave the h.b. with diminished grip on the shaft, this would not necessarily cause a "wobble" but could spin on the crank...
you cannot, cannot go wrong with that kit , if properly installed.

if you get a competent welder with good knowledge and he can reach the whole crack to properly prep it then u have a good chance. my experience with opinions of the sort u are talking about, depend heavily on the opinionators experience and skill with cast iron
