I used the same brackets that the ambulance box came with and used them on the new truck. Its a series of L shaped brackets that bolt to the frame. On top of the bracket is a rubber donught where the box sits on and a bolt goes through that connects the box to the bracket. The brackets have...

I didn't see it being done, but I hope this pic gives you some ideas. They drove the new truck under it, lined up the brackets on the truck frame, bolted them on, and then somehow lowered it down.

There is at least a one inch gap between the roof and the aluminum frame.

value of space? Plan B is to have a roof rack over the cab for a couple of kayaks and a small sailboat. Is it better to have more interior space or space for toys for the trip? Without the plane ill be a foot or two shorter. Does the height decrease amount to any advantage?

This is how I was thinking I could blend it in better. I did a little cut and pasting. The top of the box will be a fixed hardtop with windows to replace the defunct pop top that is there now. Does this work? OR
