It really isn’t. I had a lot of fun doing it, and Temsco was a great company to work for. Ultimately I just wanted a schedule that allowed me to have dedicated time off to spend time with the family during the summer, and the tour pilot life really isn’t that schedule. This summer I was able to...
Thanks! Yeah. We are stoked. Already looking forward to where we are taking it next month. Wife is heading out today (it’s still attached to her brothers truck while he is overseas) with the tiny human so (so far) the planned intent is working.
With the winch on the front of the PW I never...

Loved it. Tours are tours, same questions 7 times a day on the same route. But getting to show people the beauty of interior Alaska on what could be their only trip up here was so fun.
Tuesday we packed up, headed back out the McCarthy road and turned south towards Valdez. Stopped at the Worthington Glacier to have lunch and hike but cut it short due to the crazy loose rock scrambling required to get to the ice, so just enjoyed a short walk and then back on the road over...
Well… picked up and inaugural trip complete. Ended up doing 7 days (6 nights) including the McCarthy Road into Wrangell-St Elias NP then down to Valdez. Great weather with a little rain here and there.
Stoked. Certainly some things to play with (more on that in a second) but absolutely...
I’m getting so antsy sitting here on a slow morning on the Slope waiting to head back to Anchorage Wednesday and pick it up. Haha
48hrs to pick it up, pack, etc before trying to get out of town after being gone for 4 weeks. Nobody has ever forgotten anything doing that, right?
“Oh no. Where’s...
Thanks for sharing your experience @SimplyAnAdventure
Airbags do work for many people. I’ve used them before on other vehicles and at this time don’t feel it is the direction I want to go.
Camper gets picked up this week and we are heading out on the trial run Friday. I already added a...
I feel you on that. Very much wish I had enough property to manage that as well. I do have several friends that own properties I’ve threatened to land at though. Hope the opportunity comes around for each.
But my neighbors wouldn’t be very excited about me doing a slow vertical descent into my...
Not the fluffy friend himself, but this lil guy took off from a spot we were checking out on the North Slope. Beautiful animal. Didn’t see him again, but his tracks were pretty impressive.
For sure.
Here’s some logic (and rambling) around PW/Rebel in another thread.

My PW tows just fine in single digit mpg and handles weight behind it great. But yeah, those suspensions were not made to haul...
I’d vote Rebel 2500 gas. The payload is nearly double my power wagon (~1350lbs). If I was in the market for a new truck, that’s where I’d be. But outside that consideration, I’ve really loved our Ram. Just a great pickup and has served us very well, and been put through the paces too.
My BIL...
Luckily my wife prioritizes me prioritizing it.
“Did you schedule your (insert dr here)?”
Annual dr, FAA dr, and dermotologist
Twice annual dentist
Not saying I’m the healthiest I’ve ever been, but at least I’ve got some good eyes on it with me. 😂
