My guess is the lifter tick is really the cats rattling. Seems to be the case everytime I think I have a lifter making noise. The oil light could be a fouled oil pump. Not sure about the special "sweet" spot on the doors. That is a new one to me. And Timmy! - 5 speeds always get better mileage...

You should also check the stepper motor just to make sure it is clean. This usually affects idle, but can cause hiccup on acceleration. (if I remember correctly). D

Jay: Aside from the Conqueror which was much less expensive, ... I had adaptors made for an M type military trailer to match Land Rover Alloys when I had my D90 and did a trailer painted to match. These guys did the adaptors that looked much like the ones you show in the picture...

You should at least go test drive it. Conniston green is my second favorite color on a DI (Not many were made - and even fewer with Conniston Green and 5 speed). (of course, I'm partial to white). You'll find the 5 speed peppy to drive and great gas mileage compared to the automatic DI. D
