These last versions of the Chinooks, before the whole company went ashcan, were really top quality builds. My sister was looking at a 2wd a couple of years ago, and I was amazed how well put together it was, compared to my prior version 'Chinook' Blazer Chalet, which had a build quality leaning...
Don't know about the newer ones, but it's possible to plop a 4Wheel pop-up on the older ones. Ramcharger below via http://www.mydodgetruck.com/content/view/481/30/ and there is a Plymouth Trailduster at this link that unfortunately got smushed...
I've actually been skipping the ones on Craigslist lately, as this is something people can find with relative ease. Here's one from a NE Georgia newspaper ad that was automatically picked up by an internet site: http://www.recycler.com/details/-35917005/1978-chevrolet-blazer
Turns out there...
My preferred camping areas in southern Colorado during the height of the summer sometimes beg for a heater at night or during a daytime rainstorm. A/C as a requirement has never crossed my mind...
At Wes' offroadaction.ca web site, he had the link for Jeffs Bronco Graveyard which I repost here, two pages of photos of this Bronco: http://broncograveyard.com/v/broncos/66camper/ The thumbnail below being just one of the whole pile....
Serial #1382 built in 10/76, and it's owned by one of the guys in our Yahoo Chalet forum. I'm a little sad that he never told me how much he paid for it in an off-eBay sale, I believe it would set the record for a private sale. True, it's one of the best I've seen, it came out of some kind of...
The ol' daily driver VW GTI serves double duty in the absence of the Chalet and any other expo-vehicle.... (ground clearance still a bit of a problem in that capacity, though)
1) You're looking at the same NIPCC I'm looking at? The papers are cited because they support an overall assessment that human activity is insignificant in global warming, and that the IPCC cannot be relied on as a source proving humans are largely responsible for it. IPCC ones are noted in...
I'm at a loss to understand how. The NIPCC has 35 contributing authors, and the 'thousands' of contributors to the IPCC are essentially the study papers cited in their reports, much like the 4000 or so peer-reviewed science journal published papers cited within the NIPCC. The Heartland Institute...
I believe we went over this in the big global warming thread that the O.P. deleted in Dec '09. Skeptic scientists don't say the overall climate is not warming, and the IPCC Reports - a huge collection of studies - do not themselves rely on a 'single' study that proves humans cause global...
Wow. $6,600 for it, Barrett-Jackson link for it here: http://www.barrett-jackson.com/application/onlinesubmission/lotdetails.aspx?ln=624&aid=403&pop=1
"...was a Golden Hammer winner featured in the January 1965 issue of Mechanix Illustrated."
The web site worked a while ago, and what's left of it sorta works via the "Internet Wayback machine": http://web.archive.org/web/20080115173011/http://www.revconmotorcoach.com/index.html
For aesthetics, I always liked the '80s fwd motorhomes: http://revconeers.com/
My feeble memory tells me some guy alerted me to, or emailed me, photos of a factory IH Scout camper like the one shown on page 136, bit I can't remember what I did with them. A quick Google search dredged up this post with larger clickable photos...
The now-orphaned Chalet shell-only from this other thread is back again. Only perhaps 15 minutes after I talked to the dealer on 12/3, he deleted the ad. Now it's back again, $50 whole dollars reduced in price, with the threat that now he will crush the remaining camper unit after Christmas if...
*sigh* The Craigslist ad for the HAM Chalet in the post just above still works, but I havn't yet received any response from the seller. And, the tan Chalet from my post #36 above is back again, http://redding.craigslist.org/cto/2053743992.html still with no contact info for the seller beyond...
Bump - to a newer spot on the thread list. I see this van in moved in different places at the man's driveway, so he must still drive it on a fairly regular basis.
