Variation on the theme, bit less spectacular looking. 302 Ford V8 might get it moving down the road somewhat faster.... (not mine, 'n all that jazz)

..Wow.. small world. I took my composite pic the prior afternoon around 4:30-ish along with lots of others. Wasn't smart enought to look for big kitty tracks.
Around noon on the 14th I was up somewhere near the top of Engineer Pass on a jeep tour chauffeured by my SOA pals...
Gasp. Nobody told me about a mountain lion when I walked by the same pond on July 13th. Had to make a 4-pic composite in order to squeeze all that scenery in.
You could put it on the front using a GM factory spare holder, like the Chalets. As hot as it got in Phoenix in the summer, I didn't have an overheating problem with the tire up front.
My guess is that the one here has a factory paint job, although more sedate. Never could wrap my arms around the more 'striking' paint jobs like the one in the original post.
Ad here, not mine, no affiliation, etc, etc...
I'm wondering if the title is a typo, because that is a "Superior" motorhome, we had a 4x2 20 foot one when I was a kid, a dealer post card for regular versions is seen here on eBay. The bragging point of the Superiors was that they were the same company that made school buses. Looks like now...
Thought I'd try using my drawing program to lighten up the original photo's contrast and maybe help out with the load capacity & distribution. Nope, still needs a trailer. :)
Still running a 10-year old blueberry-flavored iMac with the last possible Tiger 10.4 that works on it. Gladly accepting cash donations to help me buy the newest Mac....
Well, the #1382 Chalet immediately above is back on eBay but listed by the person who bought it off-auction, so I never heard what the selling price was. He has it starting at $10 grand, but I've seen it in other ads for $18 grand. I believe that's more than the market can stand considering the...
Actually several times each summer and a few other random times of the year, inevitably some folks act like they've never seen one before which accounts for spectacular freeway pileups. The rest of us see one coming and go though the routine of rolling up all the windows, closing up other stuff...
Yep, serial #0714 built in 8/76, one person who asked about it said the seller places most of the value in the engine. The seller also seems to relist it at Craigslist about every four days, been listing it since February around the southwest. His eBay classified ads seem to stay put longer...
Glue a Bronco II Plus converson on for more space out back? Sacrifice of departure angle is a requirement, tho'. http://gallery.fordforums.com/showphoto.php/photo/5404/ppuser/11964
I was less lucky in getting a usable email response out of VWCustomerCare back in 2009. I've seen a few on eBay in Canada, it would be just my lousy luck to either have one impounded at the border, or for a knowledgeable Fed recognize it later and seize it.
Keep us updated on your build. I'm so...
Last I heard - and I'm begging someone to prove me wrong - these are illegal for import into the US (ok for Canada, tho'). I talked to an importer a year or two ago, and he said it was a no-go unless someone with mega-bucks could pave the way....
Actually, you may have a bigger audience than you think as you develop this. Many wish to get out in the boondocks and bring along creature comforts such a nice bed. Now that my Chalet is gone, I'm still kicking around a similar idea but in a larger platform, as I mused about in my own "good mpg...
That area has been like a magnet for me each mid summer, nice to see more of the snowpack hanging around over the last several years, though it has meant pushing my trips up there slightly later into July in order for me to catch complete rides over the highest passes. Always hoping that makes...
Always thought of myself as a Ford guy, but my weakness for '70s GMs comes from the Rockford Files TV series, where Rockford's dad had a really spiffy GMC shortbed 4x4.
Here's something a few guys have been wondering about, a Chalet unit custom fitted to a Suburban. $2450 in Fargo ND. http://fargo.craigslist.org/rvs/2301144117.html The good: it's the only one I've ever seen in finished form, a couple of the guys in our Yahoo forum started such a project but...
