I just use my 120v 5 cup coffee maker. uses about 600w using inverter gauge. I just start the car and turn it on. Even better would be a mini coffee maker with an insulated pot. That way when its done you can turn car/warmer off and coffee stays warm for a while.

Thinking on the cheap, this tent might work. Its not as warm as a solid wall but -10 on the low end isnt that cold so if you have a decent bag and some thermals it should be perfect 2.9lbs...

I would not worry about buying batt from home depo or lowes. If the brands good than go for it. You only got 2.5 years from your 6v batteries? Are you taking care of them? 6v batt that are well taken care of should last you more than 8 years.

From my experience I seem to get a little more power from the rated panels in good direct sun. most popular panels are under rated a little to offset the ideal conditions. under normal condition I dont see the rated power because Im not cooling the panel and keeping it perpendicular to the sun.

I just use a 120v drill and plug it into my 1000w sine wave inverter. since I dont have a garage I use most my mild power tools off my cars inverter :)

Yea its not anything worth worrying about. every so often I just grab a micofiber towel from my car and give them a wipe but most of the time they go ignored and seem to be fine.
