If you plan on using the 40A DC-DC charger you’re going to probably want 4 or 6 AWG depending on the length of the run.

Up for sale is a build spot for my Vagabond Outdoors Nomad wedge camper. This can be switched to a Drifter and configured as you'd like at the time of the build. By buying this you're jumping up in line to when I placed my order, 8/14/2020. You pay exactly what I paid: $5,770.97.
I'm also part of the Aeropress gang, especially for travel. I pair it with a nice hand burr grinder and some locally roasted beans from wherever I'm traveling. Delicious and convenient.
I normally use a Coleman stove but just bought a Jetboil for quickier, easier, coffee.
I’ve got one but I’ve only used it on one trip (3 nights). It seems to be well built and solid. Easy to deploy and fairly easy to pack back up. I’d recommend it.
Earlier in September we headed to the San Juan Mountains of Colorado to drive the must drive trails there...
We started in Ouray and took the Mineral Creek Trail to Engineer Pass. Mineral Creek seemed to challenge the long wheelbase more than any of the other trails we rode. Tight switchbacks...
I had this debate with myself although it was more so around 1st Gen Tundra + FWC Hawk. The general consensus (although I don't know how proven this is) is that at least for the Tundras, putting Load E tires makes a huge difference. By the time you've added a beefier spring pack or airbags...
Picked up the truck from the shop last week. Icon Stage 2 suspension, SCS Stealth6s wrapped in 285/70/17 KO2s, SPC UCAs, new OEM CV joints & LCAs, new steering rack bushings. Finally had a chance today to take her up into the mountains. This is on the lesser traveled side of Medicine Bow Peak in...
My research indicated that between 4 and 4.5" BS was the sweet spot. My current wheels are actually Tacoma wheels the previous owner put on. They have over 5" of BS and are already very close to the UCAs so I knew they wouldn't work for an oversized tire. The 4x4 shop that's putting on my lift...
This is my second round of KO2s and I too hadn't noticed that issue. For me they provide a great balance of off road/on road/snow/rain/ice performance. I don't like how they tend to accumulate gravel (and then throw it). I do like how long they last. I had my last set for 40k before I sold my...
I really enjoyed your video. Awesome truck. How do you like the twin Engels? I'm thinking about a National Luna dual zone fridge. That'll be a little ways down the line though. Maybe spring 2021 at the earliest. Thanks for sharing!
It seems factory, I've only had this truck for about a month. I haven't tried it out but sure enough there's an AC plug in the rear of the center console.
Also, added transmission and transfer case skids. All the Skid Row skids have been trouble free until the transfer case. It said to drill into the chassis for this one but there was already a hole in one side and a bolt in the other. The fit was.... very tight but was able to reuse the bolt on...
Installed the Panavise mount. It required drilling 4 non visible holes into the dash but gave a sturdy place for a RAM mount ball. Added X-Grip + Wireless charger to that. May eventually use this spot to mount my Kenwood D710G VHF/UHF radio.
I'm probably going to order a Vagabond Drifter or Nomad here shortly and I'm planning to add a custom Deaver leaf pack when I do that. We'll see how the Icon AAL works for me. I haven't heard the best things.
I was backpacking in the Wind River Mountains once and was in camp when a tree fell within feet of where I was standing. It completely changed my perspective on choosing safe places to camp. Good call on taking out that big guy.
