I was really wanting to work on this project but just didn't have enough time to make it happen.
I can sympathize with Zachary Muse. My son was born on 9/10 and his cousin on 9/11. They were both celebrating their 2nd birthdays the year of the attack.
I was still enlisted in the Army Reserves...
Took my son and nephews to do some indoor cart racing. My son placed 1st and in the 91.5 percentile nationwide in only his 2nd race. His best lap was just a hair over 29 seconds. :)
I did just a real quick edit in PS. File was only 149kb to start with but it gives you an idea of what a little bit of post processing can do.
I increased saturation on green and cyan. Did a little dodging and burning on the skies and trees, and a slight crop to eliminate the tree in the top right.
Clark- I'll share my thoughts on these images of yours from Chevlon Lake
This image a pretty nice scenic shot. The light and the detail along the lower left is strongest area of this image. The sky and the background is pretty washed out which detracts from the overall feel. In post process you...

I had a hard time passing on the...
Trevor- thanks for the comments and some great tones in those clouds. Really like the ones with the pink and orange hues in them.
Brad- really digging the mushroom shot. Great clarity and depth of field on that. Do you have any more shots of it? That is a scene you could work for multiple...
Here is a quick video I made last time we went out. Setup my DSLR on video mode just to see how it would do. Just played around a little bit in iMovie on the Mac to slow speed down in a few spots. Just goofing around...
Clays and .22's are a great way to spend a few hours. As kids we would shoot clay pigeons until we were out of clays or ammo, go pick up any large pieces of them and then shoot them with the .22's. I just picked up a Remington Express 20 guage so my son can do the same thing once the weather...
Agreed!! Glad to see the evolution on here and more people getting into the craft.
grntrdtaco- really like the different perspective on many of your shots. I will be meeting with a buddy this weekend about finally designing and building my roof rack.
