Thanks, I'll do a search. It seems anythime I've looked in junkyard most donors vehicles already pretty stripped, but by finding a complete reasonably priced unit I figure I can find all parts in a single swoop as opposed to hunting over time.
Hi all, I have a 2001 E-350 V10 Chinook Motorhome (Dually) I am considering upgrading to 4x4. Installer recomends finding a F250 - F350 V10 4x4 donor vehicle and swapping in its 4x4 system. Would I need to look for a 4x4 dually or can I go to SRW?
He thinks I can find approp F-250-F350 for $5 -...
Not mine but saw today in southern central VA. Seller asking $2500 or Best Offer, Alot of rust so doubt this spend most of life in South. Very ruff but for cost maybe can be parted out or used for cheap base build....
PS - DON'T SHOOT THE MESSENGER!
I recently bought a 2001 Chinook Concourse on a E350 v10 chasis. Its dually but 2wd so I am in process of lifting and maybe a trutrac diff locker in rear. I think a heavy camper van is certainly fine for forest graded roads and washboard roads, and I have no intent of mudding or rock crawling...
I had air air bags on rear of Grand Cherokee, only inflated when toying very heavy BSA trip trailer, made all the diffrerence in the world. I am looking to put on small motorhome now to raise when needed off pavement.
Today I had local car stereo place install solinoid between Jeep JGC WK2 engine battery and rear house battery running ARB frg/freezer, this way I no longer need to recharge house battery every few days - which was getting old. The coach battery charges house battery whenever Jeep is running...

Love it, but quite jeolous. We live on east coast but vacation in Salida area, this summer we weren't able to get out there. We like to fly fish Hancock Lake and other high mountain lakes, usually rent cabin just down from St. Elmo.
This is actually really nice, I was at Provan a couple times and almost pulled trigger on the 2013 on lot, one thing I didn't like was not being able to turn front seats around, however, this is not why I did not buy it. The fact yours can gives the cab more functionalty and becomes more...
Have you received and installed Wilco yet? If so, is rear tailgate camera usable? Do you have picture of dash screen showing backup camera angle and view?
Thanks
That stinks, I drove about 6 hours one way to look at Chinook I was told was in excellent shape, got there walked around it and said I'd pass, unbelievable bad. Went inside to see if anything redeming might be there and it had a foul strong musty oder. Drove 6 hours, spent 5 minutes looking and...
What about both an E Super Duty or F Super duty, both converted to RV, think Chinook vs. Tiger. Outside of living quarters, does your comments above still hold true?
Aside from one being a van and one a pickup truck, what are differences between a E-350 and F-350, especially as how it relates to "Overland" type off-road capability? Is one more suited for longer or rougher backroads travel than the other?
Back in mid 80's I bought a brand new Suzuki Samari, black on black, hard roof option with the bigger tires available. I loved it, we used to drive motorycle trails in lots of areas, only downside on long hills it had diminishing power, so by time I was at top I was going silly slow. I was...
