I have a Logan Intermediate mat cutter. Need to use it more often though. Aaron Brothers is obviously not high end but I like one particular style they have.

I am not happy with mine either. I was working at an event so I knew I didn't really have a chance to pick out a good spot. Ended up only taking a long lens and shooting handheld. A little different than the normal shots- Way out of focus but I like it!
