Why diesel? I switched from 7.3 diesel to 6.8 gasser and couldn't be happier; quieter, smoother, cheaper to have work done, plenty of power and torque, almost identical fuel econ (across my rigs).

I currently own a V10 SMB and absolutely love it. I have only driven the a 5.4 a couple of times and couldn't imagine one in a built out van. Particularly in the mountain west. I have averaged 12.8mpg over the course of my ownership and my van is HEAVY!

Love my 99 V10 EB 4x4 Sportsmobile! I had a 7.3 diesel and couldn't be happier with the transition to gas. If the price is right I would snatch it up... they don't make them everyday!
