Interesting, that article states you can stack 3 of the 6 gallon tanks, for 18 gallons total..
"Another cool feature? These bad boys are stackable! The super sleek design allows you to carry up to 3 of them in the spare location, which gives you an additional 18 gallons of water and/or gas...
Possibly, thought an email to the company can probably get you specs on the material and a determination if it can 'stand up' to storing gasoline and/or diesel fuel. I suspect there is a good chance it can, and it is more legal/safety/epa issues preventing it being advertised for fuel storage...
I'm always keeping an eye out for a 1st gen Sequoia. Love following the build. That spare tire carrier is by far the best looking solution I've seen for the sequoia. Not sure if it is feasible without the body lift or not, but definitely very clean, WELL DONE!
Let me know when you get tired...
Funny, momma mobile was the reaction my wife had when I talked about getting one. I don't really agree that they are ugly as sin. Stock, they are a little plain jane, particularly when compared to the more attention getting designs of current gen Toyota trucks. But honestly, when lifted and...
I realize this is a really old thread, but came across it while searching for similar options. OP mentions lowering the tank, so assuming he has a vehicle that has an underside spare that lowers similar to pick-up trucks and many SUVs. Anyway, thought it may be useful to someone that comes...
Seems you can't buy an 80 series that isn't a rust bucket with 400K miles for less than $20k+ these days, and that is just the 'widely available' USA production trucks..
Love your rig, stumbled on this Left Hand Drive Turbo Diesel 80 with a Manual Gearbox that was ultra clean and recently sold for stupid money, but it was really dreamy..

$10K budget seems out the window (probably because used car prices have gone wild since the pandemic), but can't believe no one has mentioned the BRZ/ Toyota 86 platform..
Probably the LR3, as long as they are well maintained, and they require a fair amount of maintenance. But I've seen stories of 2-300,000 mile examples on original engine driveline..
Admittedly, I'm not that 'up on' these types of trucks, but uh, that doesn't look right to me. Offset on those rear wheels looks a bit problematic to me. And people freak about 1" spacers..
In theory no, but it happens. People generally just get banned from the sites. I assume there is too much cost/complexity involved with actually filing suit to force the sale..
