Dude.. Gooseberry is not crazy tough, but it is a tricky trail ......
If you ever ridden on slickrock at Moab.. then you know what I mean, but a little, or a lot more technical.....
Pick you lines carefully, and if not comfortable walk the section, there are plenty of miles to ride, and...
The two rubber bands should have a clip.
Use the clip to form an "X".
This in turn helps pull the fabric in as you close the tent....
You still want to make sure the fabric is not being pinched as you close the tent, but that's just minimal work to be done....
I place my pillows (aftermarket)...
That's awesome..... I was at Neon Canyon a couple of years back.. I wanted to do the whole canyon from the top but did not go as I needed at least one more experienced canyoneer in our group of two....Im planning on going back this summer.... check out "cathedral in the desert"...
Located...
Beautiful rig....
What type of inflatable are those in some of your pictures?
How do they handle on the open seas?
Is that Neon Canyon on one of your pictures?
Yeah the one with the hole at top of the dome?
What an adventure......!!!
Thanks for sharing it with us all.
Call me crazy, but I used an emergency bivvy sack on my last ride.. over the summer in July.
Rode from LA to Shasta..... I wasn't cold any of the nights, even while riding/camping through Tahoe n Lassen...
I think only the wrx sti has the 50/50 awd.
The rest have some variation of more power to the front wheels...

I can vouch for this.... Once loaded up... The "progressive" part of the spring comes alive... It really handles the extra weight like nobody's business, butta smooth and the best part is that no squatting is noticeable... At least not on my rig.....
For me it was not the muck that messed up the bike components, but the stuff that is put on these roads to deal with ice during the winter.
By the time I got back home ('bout a month later) the chain was rusty and looked like a 50 year old worn piece of metal, so were the shifter cables..
In...
upcruiser, you bring up a valid point.
This has happened to me only once, but boy did it do a mess on my bike, and the rig for that matter...!!
This was at Prudhoe Bay in AK some time at the end of June, 2009
Got cought on a snow storm while going through Atigun pass.
It started with rain...
awesome thread.
I got lucky a couple of years back.
The wave is an amazing geological feature...
It took three times for us to hit it big.
I did not read the whole thread, but Cobra arch is also a must see in this area...
Cheers,
Frank.
I build the frame out of mild steel 1"Wide * ¹/₈"thick.
The drawers were built from ³/₁₆" marine aluminum...
Painted white on the inside, lined with thin clear drawer mat from Ikea.
These are quiet.
If I was to do it again I would do the frame out of aluminum too and the drawers from ¹/₈"...
